Performs manual tasks and operate assorted equipment for the assigned department.  Responsibilities include maintaining designated City grounds/property, buildings, and structures.
             
DUTIES: Work responsibilities include but are not limited to: mowing and trimming facility grounds; trash collection; leaf pick-up; preparing for funeral services; minor building  and equipment repairs; cleaning restrooms, storage rooms and offices.
 
REQUIREMENTS: High school diploma (or GED) preferred, with three to six months of experience working with various light equipment; or any equivalent combination of education, training, and experience which provides the requisite knowledge, skills, and abilities for this position. Must be able to perform the physical requirements of the position. Age 18+. 
 
SALARY: Pay Grade 30; $13.50 per hour; sick, vacation and retirement benefits
 
WORK HOURS: 35 - 40 hours/week Monday – Friday

WHAT YOU'LL BE DOING:
• As part of the team, you'll be in charge of keeping our City grounds, buildings, and structures in tip-top shape.
• Your day-to-day will include mowing and trimming the grass, collecting trash, picking up leaves, and tackling minor repairs to buildings and equipment.
• Plus, you'll be keeping things sparkling clean by tidying up restrooms, storage areas, and offices.
• Every day’s a new adventure in keeping our City looking its best!
REQUIREMENTS:
• Age 18+
• High school diploma (or GED) preferred 
• Got 3 to 6 months of hands-on experience with light equipment? Or maybe you've got a mix of training and skills that make you the perfect fit for this role? We want to hear from you!
• Be ready to stay on your toes and tackle the physical side of the job with a can-do attitude. 
SALARY:
• Pay Grade 30; $15.00 per hour; sick, vacation and retirement benefits
