Rate of Pay:

$15.50 - $15.80 per hour for special ed para

Substitute teachers continue classroom instructions when the staff teacher cannot be there.  Daily rate of pay is $140.  Extra pay incentives are offered for substitutes who work more than 14 days in a quarter and for those who take the District's special ed training (or are certified as special ed) and who then sub for special ed teachers.  Long term rates are higher when in the same position for more than 10 days ($160/day when in the position for 11-19 days and $210/day when in the position for 20+ days).

Qualifications:  Either an active Wisconsin Educator's license or an associates/bachelor's degree with substitute license is required.
