Portland Public Schools: Little Raiders GSRP Associate Teacher
Portland Public Schools’ seeks an innovative and passionate education professional to join our preschool team to enhance the education experience for our students enrolled in Little Raiders Great Start Readiness Program at Portland Public Schools.
The desired candidate would possess the following attributes:
Exceptional communication, analysis, interpersonal, and organizational skills
Ability to handle complex and stressful issues or situations with sound judgment, common sense, and a calm demeanor
Impeccable character, a good sense of humor, and compassion for students, families, and staff
Eligible candidates must meet the following qualifications:
An associate’s degree or higher in Child Development or Early Child Development or Child Development Associate Credential (CDA)
Ability to develop and sustain positive working relationships with students, staff, parents, and district colleagues
Demonstrated ability to sustain and improve student achievement outcomes
Willingness to contribute to a safe school climate of high expectations and strong collaboration, high staff and student morale, and positive community involvement
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
Assist in planning, implementing and monitoring curriculum.
Maintain a positive working relationship with administrators, support staff, teachers, volunteers
and students.

Assist children with personal health care needs, including toileting.
Participate in training and ongoing professional development.
Ability to maintain a safe and secure learning environment.
Ability to communicate effectively with young children and their families.
Ability to work well with diverse families.
Ability to develop effective working relationships with students, staff and the school
community.
Position Details:
Title: Little Raiders GSRP Associate Teacher
Reports to: Early Childhood Director
Calendar: As per District Preschool Calendar
Compensation: In accordance with Preschool agreement ($15.50 to $21.00/hr)
