REQUIREMENTS:  High School Diploma, Basic computer skills; knowledge of and interest in health and wellness. 
 
DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES: 
• Monitor Fitness Center for safety issues; correct/report any safety issues
• Assist Fitness Center users with use of equipment
• Enforce Fitness Center policies and procedures
• Provide routine cleaning of Lions Center, including bathrooms, hallways, gym and workout rooms
• Perform clerical duties (e.g., maintain member database and reports and front desk check-in; collect membership dues; develop and disseminate marketing materials, etc.).
• Assist with Community Services classes and activities as needed

DESCRIPTION:  Onamia Schools is hiring for a part-time Community Education/Lions Gym/ROC Coordinator. Position will work collaboratively with the school district to launch more community education programming for the district and the community, as well as to manage the Lions Gym and the ROC. Specific duties, to be determined by the Superintendent, include:
• Assist with the development and implementation of youth and adult enrichment programs, including securing instructors, creating promotional materials, tracking registrations, logging payments, evaluating programs, etc.
• Assist with school and community usage of the Rolf Olsen Center and Lions Community Center, including scheduling, set up/arrangements, access, safety, and proper facility usage.
• Assist with monthly reporting for the Onamia Fitness Center and maintenance of senior incentive programs.
• Other duties as determined by the Superintendent.
REQUIREMENTS:  Preferred qualifications include:
• Experience working with both youth and adults.
• Strong communication and problem-solving skills.
• Good computer skills.
• Ability to work a flexible schedule, including occasional evenings and weekends.

Job Summary
The Student Assistant will support the Enrichment Instructor Position in aiding teachers and students with classroom activities. This role offers an opportunity to gain hands-on experience in educational settings, working directly with students to enhance their learning experiences. Tasks include clerical assistance, tutoring, behavior management, and facilitating communication between teachers and students.
 
Key Responsibilities
Student Tutoring and Behavior Support:
• Work individually or with small groups of students to reinforce skills taught by teachers.

• Attend staff meetings or training sessions as directed.

• Interest in education, special education, or related fields.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to maintain confidentiality.
• CPR and First Aid certification (or willingness to obtain).
• Patience, empathy, and a positive attitude when working with students.
Preferred Skills and Experience
• Experience working with children, particularly those with special needs.
• Familiarity with sign language or a willingness to learn.
• Organizational skills and attention to detail.
