POSITION:  Nurse Assistant
 
DESCRIPTION: Onamia Public Schools is seeking a dynamic and highly energetic individual for the position of Nurse Assistant.
• Proficient in verbal and written communication skills;
• Capable of assisting and adapting to meet the needs of students;
• Capable of working cooperatively and congenially with other employees and supervisors;
• Able to accurately, confidentially and securely maintain records, documents, files and other information;

REQUIREMENTS: High School Diploma, TMA preferred
 
HOURS: 8 hours per day, student contact days. Occasional Professional development days.

JOB DESCRIPTION: Onamia Public Schools is seeking applicants for a Full Time (1.0 FTE) Social Worker for the 2025-2026 school year. Provides services to students and families to help students increase their ability to function optimally and enhance learning. Collaborates with student support network (e.g., educational team, parents, and community agencies) to address the students’ academic, emotional, and social needs. Works toward enhancing and fostering positive relations among the student, school, community, and parents. 
 
The Onamia School District is located along the south shore of beautiful Lake Mille Lacs and is just one and a half hours north of Minneapolis on highway 169. 
 
The Onamia School District qualifies for student loan reduction/forgiveness programs.

POSITION: Social Worker/Student Transitions Coordinator
 
JOB DESCRIPTION: Onamia Public Schools is seeking applicants for a Full Time (1.0 FTE) Social Worker/Student Transitions Coordinator. The Social Worker/Transitions Coordinator will meet with students one on one and in small groups to increase SEL; conflict resolution, coping skills, anger management and more. Social Worker is an integral part of the Onamia High School. Be (or become) knowledgeable about resources in the community. Attend to student's mental health, chemical health, housing and nutrition needs. Coordinate with other professionals in the community and within the school. Make appropriate referrals based on students' needs. Assist with Truancy prevention and intervention.
