USD 210 is searching for a high-energy, passionate leader to serve as Principal at Hugoton Primary School, overseeing grades PreK-2. Purpose:    The Food Services Cook prepares and serves the students nutritious and attractive meals in an atmosphere of efficiency, cleanliness, and warmth. To accomplish these tasks the Food Services Cook must work closely with the staff and Food Service Manager.

Hugoton Intermediate School is searching for an Intermediate Teacher’s Aide who is a curious, lifelong learner with a passion for discovering new things.  Outstanding candidates will be active participants within our dynamic Third Grade-SIx Grade team of teachers as well as within our entire teaching staff. 
 
The working hours for this position will be 7:30am-3:30pm.  The Teacher’s Aide will work under the direction of the lead teacher in any classroom and will report to the teachers/principal for scheduling and the assignment of responsibilities.
 
The district provides a single health insurance policy along with other benefits.  The Elementary Teacher’s Aide serves as an important supportive role for teachers and students, Hugoton Elementary School (HES) families, and the program of the school.
 
Qualifications:
 
• 48 hours of college credit or a passing score on the ParaPro Assessment
 
• Bilingual is preferred but not required

• Keyboarding and computer skills

• Experience working with children is preferred but not required

Position:  Third Grade Teacher Aide
 
USD 210 is searching for a capable and trustworthy Third Grade Teacher Aide to join our excellent faculty.   To be successful as a teacher aide, you should be a curious, lifelong learner with a passion for helping children. 
 
Goals:
 
To assist classroom teachers in the instructional process, reinforcing instruction to individual or small groups of students in a classroom environment. Assist in the preparation of instructional materials and implementation of lesson plans and provide routine support. Assist students with academic and/or physical needs in order for students to access the educational environment.
 
 
 
Responsibilities:
 
• Assist students in completing classroom assignments, homework and projects. Assure student understanding of classroom rules and procedures and assist students by answering questions, providing proper examples, emotional support, friendly attitude and general guidance.

• Read to students, listen to students read and observe students reading abilities as assigned. Assist students with math, spelling and writing exercises and assignments.

• Assist assigned teachers with the implementation of lesson plans. Administer various tests as directed. 

• Tutor individual or small groups of students, reinforcing instruction as directed by the teacher. Monitor and oversee student drills, practice and assignments in various subjects. 

• Demonstrate professional responsibility and ethical behavior including the importance of respecting and providing confidentiality of information regarding students.

• Demonstrate effective and appropriate interpersonal relationships with students, parents and staff.

• Assist the certificated teacher with the supervision of students during non-instructional times, such as emergency drills, assemblies, cafeteria, restrooms, field trips, hallways, playground and bus loading/unloading activities.

• Observe and control behavior of students in the classroom according to approved procedures, and monitor students during outdoor activities as directed.
