SESSION DATES:
August 4th - 7th (4 days)
August 11th - 14th (4 days)
Monday-Thursday both weeks
MANDATORY MEETING:
Mandatory one-hour meeting for teachers prior to the start of summer school - $50/hour
Teachers will be paid for up to 6 hours to plan and prepare for summer school - $50/hour
SESSION TIMES:
8:00am - 11:00am
Teachers will receive one hour of daily planning
3 hours of instruction, 1 hour of planning (4 hours per day, 16 hours per week - 32 hours total)
HOURLY RATE:
$50.00
QUALIFICATIONS:
- Current Secondary Teaching Certificate
- Bilingual (Spanish) preferred but not required
- Must be able to provide an academically challenging, robust and rigorous summer school curriculum/expectations for students
- Must be proficient in Google Classroom as an online learning platform
- Ability to collaborate with teaching teams to support the development of necessary content and curricular priorities
- Experience with gathering, organizing, and interpreting assessment data
- Demonstrated success with identifying students' learning deficits and academic needs
- Ability to develop and implement individualized student plans for intervention and remediation
- Strong skills in developing systems to monitor and track students' academic needs
- Ability to evaluate the effectiveness of an intervention or lesson and made data-driven decisions for instruction using formative assessments
- Passion for engaging learners in a rigorous learning environment
- Absent an emergency or illness must be committed to work the entire summer school program
- Demonstrates the ability to provide differentiated instruction in math and literacy
- Demonstrates the ability to administer a quality, individual literacy program
- Demonstrates the ability to function effectively as a member of the instructional team and work effectively with parents
- Demonstrates the ability to adapt to difference and changes in characteristics of pupils, programs, leadership, staff and community

- Effective secondary teaching experience
- Communicate and interact closely with students and parents
- Monitor and supervise students
