    •   Position: Teacher of Special Education/ Multi-categorical /Autism

    Qualifications:
    Applicant should possess or be eligible for West Virginia certification in the areas of mentally impaired/behavior disorders/specific learning disabilities/autism. In addition to appropriate certification and/or licensure, criteria to be used is contained in 18A-4-7a of West Virginia Code.

    Assignment:
    Provide instruction to eligible students as directed by the Principal and Director of Special Education. Qualified applicant must submit pertinent documentation to the Central Office pertaining to their respective Special Educational Department in a timely manner.   

    Salary:
    Based on experience and education level per Pocahontas County Schools salary schedule. See  pocahontascountyschoolswv.sites.thrillshare.com for pay scales and benefits information.    Pursuant to WV Code§18A-4-2, in accordance with Pocahontas County Administrative Salary Schedule, commensurate with experience and educational level, plus annual supplement.

    Term of employment:
    Effective April 14, 2025 for 28 days for the remainder of the 2024-2025 school year, and shall be for 200 days each year thereafter.
