Position Purpose Under the general supervision of the building principal, the Academic Coach will develop and strengthen the skills and strategies of teachers serving elementary school students. The Academic Coach will work alongside the educational staff to support teachers in all subject areas through modeling, co-teaching, and coaching using the campus’s instructional model. The Academic Coach will also serve to coordinate the MTSS process, data analysis, and serve as the School's Assessment Coordinator.
Essential Functions - Support the principal in the implementation of the instructional framework of the elementary campus.
- Serve as an instructional coach for all educators on campus.
- Observe, in a non-evaluative manner, all teachers to determine areas of strength and areas for improvement.
- Meet with teachers to discuss observations and if determined to be necessary set up coaching cycles to support teachers.
- Provide necessary feedback to the principal and administrative instructional team as requested.
- Support with the onboarding of new staff members.
- Support with professional development organization and planning.
- Oversee, analyze data, and maintain data and records for the MTSS process for all areas; behavior, academic, and attendance.
- Perform all duties related to serving as the School Assessment Coordinator.
- Support the principal to facilitate a safe and secure learning environment throughout the campus.
Additional Duties Performs other related tasks as assigned by the principal, CAO, and other central office administrators as designated by the Superintendent.

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities - Knowledge of current instructional methods, as well as differentiated instruction based upon student learning styles.
- Knowledge of data information systems, data analysis, and the formulation of action plans.
- Knowledge of applicable federal and state laws and regulations regarding education and students..

Education:
- Bachelors from an accredited college or university in education discipline applicable to teaching assignment.
- Masters Degree preferred.
Salary:
- Compensation (based on 100% FTE): $65,000 - $75,000/yr
- Scheduled Weekly Hours: 40
- Hours per Day:8 hour(s) per day
- Number of Days per Year: 187
Experience: Successful prior teaching experience for the appropriate grade level preferred.
