Woodridge High School located in Summit County is in need of an Assistant Girls Varsity Tennis Coach (Fall 2026) for the 2025-2026 school year.  

Required qualifications include:


High School: Prior high school coaching experience is preferred. Individuals should be able to demonstrate successful sport specific coaching experience at the high school level.
 

Hiring is contingent upon receiving all State of Ohio coaching certifications (Pupil Activity Permit, CPR/AED, NFHS Fundamentals of Coaching, Concussion in Sports, Mental Health, and Ohio Sudden Cardiac Arrest Coaches Training Certificate) prior to official duties beginning. Candidates should meet minimum qualifications in order to be considered for positions in which they apply.

Job Goal
Educational assistants assist the teacher and/or other professionals in the provision of special education and related services to pupils with disabilities.  Educational assistants may assist a teacher to whom assigned in the supervision of pupils, in assisting with instructional tasks, and in the performance of duties, which, in the judgment of the teacher to whom the assistant is assigned, does not require a teaching certificate or license.  
Performance Responsibilities
The individual in this assignment must discharge all delegated responsibilities in a manner consistent with federal law, state law, and the policies adopted by the Woodridge Board of Education, and pursuant to procedures established by the Administration.  Such responsibilities shall be delegated by and through the Superintendent and shall include, but are not limited to, the list below.
 
Essential Functions
• Assist in the provision of special education and related services for pupils with disabilities as directed by the teacher to whom the educational assistant is assigned
• Assist with instructional tasks
• Assist the teacher in the completion of classroom activities
• Implement practices and services designated by related services personnel, which are designed to provide special education services to pupils with disabilities
• Assist pupils with disabilities with transition times (e.g., between classes, lunch, recess, field trips, safety drills, and transportation) as delineated on the pupil’s Individualized Education Program (IEP)
• Assist the teacher to whom assigned in the supervision of pupils with disabilities
• Assist pupils with disabilities with health care and personal hygiene needs
• Assist pupils with disabilities in and out of wheelchairs and with other forms of assistive technology in the provision of special education and related services
• Participate with teacher(s) in parent conferences and in conferences with other staff regarding the pupil with disabilities welfare
 
Knowledge, Skills and Abilities Required for Essential Functions
 
• Sensitivity to the needs of the pupils with disabilities and their families
• Ability to relate to school-age pupils
• Knowledge of personal hygiene and health care procedures related to the pupils with disabilities

Working Conditions
The Woodridge Board of Education and Administration will provide a safe and health conscious work environment pursuant to applicable state and federal regulations.  The individual in this position is expected to follow all applicable safety regulations and is to report any concerns with regard to his/her working conditions to his/her immediate supervisor.
 
From time to time, the individual in this assignment may encounter hazardous working conditions that may include, but are not limited to, the following.
• Occasional exposure to blood, bodily fluids, and tissue.
• Occasional interaction among unruly pupils. 
If the individual in this assignment determines that these conditions recur on a regular basis, then the individual is to report the concern to their immediate supervisor at their first opportunity.
 
The duties of the educational assistant shall not include the assignment of grades to pupils.  The duties of an educational assistant need not be performed in the physical presence of the teacher to whom assigned, but the activity of an educational assistant shall at all times be under the direction of the teacher to whom assigned.  The assignment of the educational assistant may not be limited to assisting a single teacher.  In the event an educational assistant is assigned to assist more than one teacher, the assignments shall be clearly delineated and so arranged that the educational assistant shall never be subject to simultaneous supervision or direction by more than one teacher.

Position Purpose
Under the general supervision of the Transportation Supervisor, to ensure the safe transportation of students, staff, and others to and from school, residential neighborhoods, and field trips.
Essential Functions:
• Safely drives a school bus on days when school is in session over designated routes in accordance with time schedules, loading and unloading students at designated locations.
• Transports students, teachers and others on school field or activity trips.
• Inspects assigned bus on a daily basis prior to transporting of passengers to ensure that bus is in good, clean and safe working order.
• Cleans and refuels bus as needed.
• Ensures that a communication device is in proper working order before each trip.
• Reports all mechanical deficiencies, traffic violations, or accidents, promptly.
• Arranges for and ensures completion of routine maintenance of bus (e.g., oil change); transporting the bus to and from maintenance and/or repair facilities.
• Maintains order and discipline in an effective and courteous manner among students being transported in accordance with district policies and procedures; reports any incidents involving student discipline.
• Observes and tracks route timing, such as total time en-route, time between stops, loading and unloading times or any other requested information for the purpose of establishing route efficiency, as requested.
• Maintains and submits records and reports as required.
• Follows procedures to ensure that no child is left alone on bus without adult supervision at any time, and that all children have departed bus at the end of all bus routes (morning, evening and during field trips or other special trips).
• Inventories bus emergency and first aid supplies and equipment; reports needs to the Director.
• Prepares aides and children for bus drills and ensures bus evacuation drills are held as required.
• In case of accidents/emergencies, evacuates children according to written and practiced procedures, ensures that medical emergency procedures are followed; completes a written report as required.
• Attends and participates in trainings, and other continuing education, career and professional development opportunities.

Education:

Experience:
