Substitute Housekeeper

Job Summary:  To provide students with a safe and clean environment in which to learn and develop by performing any and all activities related to the cleaning of the building and grounds.  Activities including sweeping, dusting, mopping, washing, vacuuming, treating, spraying, cutting, removing, collecting, painting, applying and such other activities necessary to maintain the buildings and grounds in a clean and enhanced appearance.

Qualifications:  General Education Degree (GED); previous experience preferred.

Working Conditions: As needed - pay is based on experience with no benefits.

SUMMARY:
Deliver mail and packages between buildings during the year.
 
ESSENTIAL DUTIES, FUNCTIONS AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
Must be able to lift up to fifty pounds.
Successful candidate must have a current valid driver’s license with no moving violations.
Performs other duties as appropriate and required.

OTHER SKILLS AND ABILITIES:
Ability to develop effective working relationships with students, staff and the school community.  Ability to communicate clearly and concisely, both orally and in writing.  Ability to perform duties with awareness of all district requirements and Board of Education policies.
 
PHYSICAL DEMANDS:

PAY RATE:  $16.35 per hour, 7.5 hours per week, 246 days a year
