Willmar Public Schools is currently seeking applicants for the position of Food Service Second Cook
 
The Food Service Second Cook assists the Head Cook by helping direct and oversee the activities of the building Food and Nutrition Services staff in the daily operation of the School Nutrition Programs. Works with the Head Cook to complete preparation of main and alternate line(s) menu items for the customer service line, satellite and special events, as needed.  Communicates promptly and works harmoniously with the Head Cook, FNS Staff, Students and District Staff. Functions as Head Cook in the absence of the Head Cook.

Rate of Pay	$20.60 per hour
Hours Per Day	6.25
Schedule (Approximately)	7:45 AM - 2:00 PM
Working Days per Year	173 - School Calendar

Qualifications Required	High School Diploma or GED Food Protection Manager License (or willingness to obtain) SNA Certification Level 1 (or willingness to obtain Mathematical Skills required to complete production tasks Must be able to follow and give oral and written directions. Must have knowledge of quantity food production, equipment, and safety and sanitation standards.
Testing Required	All job offers from Willmar Public Schools are conditioned upon passing a pre-employment criminal background check.
