• Ability to lift at least 50 lbs

ESSENTIAL JOB DUTIES AND KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS
1. Must hold a valid Illinois teaching license with a documented 2,000 hours of related work experience (Center will help attain if applicant does not hold).
2. Graduate of accredited Medical Assisting, or related program recognized by the U.S. Secretary of Education or the Council for Higher Education Accreditation (CHEA) in Medical Assisting, or related field, and hold at least an associate degree; or Graduate of otherwise recognized training entity in Medical Assisting, or related field, and hold at least an associate degree; or; Graduate of institution located outside of the United States and its territories in Medical Assisting, or related field, and hold at least an associate degree.
3. Additionally, the faculty member possesses three (3) years of occupational experience in Medical Assisting or a related field; 
4. At least one (1) year of full-time experience as a Medical Assistant 
5. Hold a current certification or other credential from AAMA, AMT, NCCT, or NHA.
6. Excellent oral, written, and interpersonal skills.
7. Ability to establish and maintain cooperative and effective working relationships with other members of the Wilco Health Care team, college and community, displaying cultural competence as well as emotional intelligence.
