QUALIFICATIONS:
White Bear Lake Area High School is seeking a dynamic, highly qualified candidates to serve as assistant Boys Cross Country coach. Candidates are desired to have successful high school and/or collegiate level coaching experience. Each candidate should have strong interpersonal and organizational skills and the commitment to develop and maintain positive relationships between the White Bear Lake Area High School Boys Cross Country program and the local community. A valid Minnesota coaching certificate (or alternative qualifications) is required.

REPORTS TO:
Head Varsity Boys Cross Country Coach and the White Bear Lake Area High School Athletics/Activities Directors who provides overall job objectives and observes performance.

OBJECTIVES:
To instruct student-athletes in the fundamental skills, strategy and physical training necessary for them to realize individual and team success. Concurrently, student-athletes shall receive instruction that will lead to the formulation of moral values, pride in accomplishment, acceptable social behavior, self-discipline and confidence. Coach shall demonstrate substantial knowledge of the technical aspects of the sport as well as successfully establish positive relationships with all stakeholders.

Qualifications:  Desire to work hard and learn new skills; ability to work well with others as a team; previous lawn care is preferable but not necessary, knowledge of or the ability to learn how to use equipment necessary for general grounds maintenance.  Must be 18 years or older to drive district vehicles (trucks, skid steers, field grooming equipment, etc.). 

Working Conditions:  Mostly pleasant weather, but periods of hot and dry, or wet and cool weather conditions can exist.  Must be able to lift 50 lbs. on occasion.  Must be able to walk/stand for a few hours at a time throughout the work day.  Ability to work as a group or alone is beneficial.

Student Level: All Levels (EC, Elementary and Secondary) based on needs

Position Summary: The White Bear Lake Area Schools is currently seeking nurse paraprofessional(s) to work in our Extended School Year (ESY) program.  Performs intermediate skilled human support work providing nursing care to students with special health needs, including administration of medication and specialized health care procedures as well as educational support services in the classroom setting, and related work as apparent or assigned. Work is performed under the moderate supervision of ESY teachers, the Licensed School Nurse and Student Support Services Administrators.

Education and /or Experience: Associates/Technical degree with coursework in LPN or RN nursing degree required, or related field and moderate experience working in a medical or health office that interacts with school aged children and adolescents, or equivalent combination of education and experience. Bachelor's degree preferred. 

Special Requirements:
 
• CPR/AED and First Aid Certifications 

• Training in Blood Borne Pathogen procedures

• Specialized health care procedures upon hire 

• Experience working with White Bear Lake Area Schools cluster programs preferred.

• Experience working with elementary students is preferred.
