Coordinator of School and Community Relations
This non-certified position leads district-wide communications, media relations, and community engagement efforts.
Candidates must have at least four years of experience managing a successful communications program, preferably in a public school district.
Specialized Content Creation Skills: • Writing & Editing: Crafts press releases, speeches, articles, and e-newsletters to promote district initiatives. • Desktop Publishing & Graphic Design: Creates visual content such as flyers, newsletters, and multimedia materials using publishing and design software. • Video Production & Editing: Shoots and edits videos to enhance digital engagement and storytelling. • Website & Social Media Management: Maintains the district’s website, oversees social media strategy, and ensures engaging digital content.
Additional responsibilities include media relations, analytics reporting, emergency communications, and supporting major district initiatives like strategic plans and referendums.
The role requires strong writing, design, and digital media skills, along with experience in public relations and school communications.
