Install and maintain computer operating systems, application software, and related computer equipment.
Perform basic computer and network hardware and software repair (computers, servers, switches, printers, scanners, and programs).
Create and maintain network and email accounts.
Create, configure, and monitor network security.
Troubleshoot and identify repair needs.
Provide training and support to site-based technical staff regarding network and VoIP administration and use.
Provide technical support to District staff in using hardware and software.
Maintain the computer labs and 1:1 Chromebooks in good working order.
Create and attend to IT-related Work Orders.
Address computer and network-related repair requests.
Assist in record-keeping and inventory of the school district's computers and related equipment, repairs, etc.
Assist in the creation of RFPs for the purchase of new computers, software, and related equipment.
Manage network infrastructure including capacity/feasibility planning, new installations, upgrades, configuration, feature functionality testing, maintenance, troubleshooting, backup systems, security procedures/protocols, operating procedures and guidelines and user connectivity.
Ensure security on managed servers, firewalls, filters, proxy servers, etc.
Maintain up-to-date records documenting the configuration of managed servers and services.
Regularly confer with the IT Team and regarding current and future needs.
Maintains a current knowledge of rapidly changing computer technology.
Extensive knowledge of computer hardware and software installation procedures.
Knowledge of school district personal computer and software applications.
Understanding of current operating platforms, computer hardware and associated peripherals, and software applications.
Ability to inspect, assess, troubleshoot and repair computer network systems, hardware and software.
Ability to work independently and receive feedback.
Ability to follow the chain of command: IT Tech > Tech Director > Superintendent > Board of Trustees.
Extensive knowledge of email, Internet, WAN, LAN, and other computer network programs and operations.
Ability to communicate effectively with all levels of end-users.
Ability to follow oral and/or written instructions.
Ability to report work orally and/or in writing to the IT Team and supervisor.
Ability to establish and maintain a professional, cooperative work relationship with supervisor, IT Team, building administrators, IT support staff and all District staff.

Analytical, problem-solving and creative-thinking skills with respect to computer-related issues.
High School diploma.
Related college or technical school coursework.
Documented training in computer hardware, software and network use, troubleshooting and repair.
A+ certification and networking certifications preferred.
Google Admin Certification preferred.
Motor Vehicle Operator's License or ability to provide own transportation.
Significant successful related experience in computer and network installation, maintenance, troubleshooting and repair.
