Major Responsibilities and Duties:
1. Implement and progress monitor student IEP’s under the direction of the Special Education teacher.
2. Assist teacher in preparing instructional materials.
3. Help maintain a neat and orderly learning environment.
4. Help with inventory, care, and maintenance of equipment.
5. Collect data daily, keep administrative records, and prepare required reports under the direction of the Special Education teacher.
6. Assist students with physical needs, including transferring to and from wheelchairs, lifting, or positioning, under the direction of the Special Education teacher.
7. Assist students with personal care needs, including feeding, bathroom needs, and personal hygiene, under the direction of the Special Education teacher.
8. Manage student behavior, to include implementation of behavior intervention plans and research-based behavioral interventions as directed by the Special Education teacher.
9. Under the supervision of a certified teacher or campus administrator, intervene in crisis situations and physically restrain students, within District approved procedures, as necessary for staff and student safety.
10. Establish and maintain appropriate communication and professional relationships with parents, students, colleagues, and community members.
11. Assist in supervising special education students throughout the school day, inside and outside the classroom. This may include cafeteria, bus, and recreational areas
12. Maintain confidentiality to comply with FERPA regulations
13. Participate in staff development training programs, faculty meetings, and special events as assigned.

Primary Purpose:
Serves as head high school football coach. Coordinates and manages the overall program of extracurricular athletics for the campuses assigned in sector / feeder pattern. Works to provide each student with opportunity to participate in an extracurricular athletic activity and ensure compliance with all state, University Interscholastic League (UIL), and local requirements. 
 
Qualifications: 
Education/Certification:
Bachelor’s degree from an accredited college or university
Valid Texas teaching certificate
Administrative Certification (preferred)
Hold position of head coach at high school level
Physical education endorsement (preferred)

Major Responsibilities and Duties:
I. Administrative Responsibilities
1. Organize and administer, in cooperation with the Athletic Director and sector principals, the overall program of athletics for the high school sector.
2. Provide leadership in the selection, assignment, and evaluation of athletic coaches and trainers in cooperation with building principals and Athletic Director.
3. Assume responsibility for the organization and scheduling of all interscholastic athletic events in his/her sector with the approval of the Athletic Director.
4. Understands and complies with all UIL, TEA, and WISD rules and regulations.
5. Supports and complies with all policies in the Athletic Handbook.
6. Ensures supervision of athletic students at all times, including dressing rooms.
7. Arranges and ensures completion of all necessary paperwork (eligibility, travel, bus requests, entry fees, PO’s, etc.) in an accurate and timely manner for assigned sector.
8. Ensures schedules and rosters are updated on the District Web-site.
9. Exhibits appropriate dress and appearance at all times – classroom, office area, practice, games, etc.
10. Ensures inventory maintenance, issues, and stores equipment in a timely and efficient manner.
11. Delegates authority with responsibility while remaining accountable for such delegations.
12. Monitors athletic facilities and makes recommendations for improvements.
13. Promotes unity of the athletic program on respective campus and the feeder schools.
14. Attends all athletic meetings.
15. Establishes effective protocol for communication and distribution of information.

Primary Purpose:
Systematically facilitate instructional improvement and student success by working with the campus leadership team, teachers, and district level curriculum and instruction leaders to diagnose and respond to the needs of teachers and students by utilizing data driven practices to facilitate teacher development through lesson planning, observation and coaching, and job-embedded professional development that lead to sustained implementation of effective instructional practices and instructional transformation.

Major Responsibilities and Duties:
1. Work with the campus principal and district level leadership to coordinate implementation, monitoring, and ongoing support for all areas of teaching and learning across the curriculum and to support programs including ELL, BE, MTSS, and Special Education, and At-Risk.
2. Serve as an instructional liaison between the district and campus.
3. Conduct needs assessment to identify teaching and learning strengths and opportunities on the campus and work with the campus principal to develop and deliver professional development and coaching to support growth in identified areas.
4. Develop, deliver, and support high quality professional development and coaching that include but are not limited to lesson planning, data driven instruction, effective delivery of instruction, and response to intervention and differentiation.

7. Ensure that assessment data are available to teachers as soon as possible and use data to prepare for data meetings.
8. Develop a system to track student progress aligned to the following: curriculum units; taught curriculum assessments; BOY, MOY, and EOY progress monitoring; and response to intervention.
9. Facilitate reflective conversations based upon data and analysis of student work with teachers through the use of PLCs or other meeting structures and assist teachers with developing strategic reteach plans and plans for intervention that encourage rapid response, innovative practices, and discontinuation of ineffective approaches.
10. Work with teachers (in teams or individually) to refine their knowledge and skills. Methods of instruction will include modeling effective instruction using a gradual release structure, co-teaching, peer observation and in-class coaching.  
11. Work with teachers to assist with the structure of common planning time and determine accountability measures to ensure common planning time is used effectively.
12. Facilitate implementation of protocols for assessment of student work to drive instructional decisions.
13. Assist with the design and implementation of lesson planning and common assessment.
14. Assist the district curriculum and instruction department in developing local curriculum documents and assessments aligned to state learning standards and district expectations.
15. Facilitate the district in carrying out the design and implementation of job-embedded professional development for teaching and planning.

Supervisory Responsibilities: None. This role performs duties through the use instructional leadership by providing observation and coaching, professional development, and implementation support to teachers as identified by need, outlined by the district, or requested by campus level administration. Campus level administration will serve as supervisors and respond to any teacher or staff concerns.

Bachelor’s degree from accredited university

5.         Conduct assessment of student learning styles and use results to plan instructional activities.
 
6.         Work cooperatively with special education teachers to modify curricula as needed for special education students according to guidelines established in Individual Education Plans (IEP).
 
7.         Work with other members of staff to determine instructional goals, objectives, and methods according to district requirements.
 
8.         Plan and supervise assignments of teacher aide(s) and volunteer(s).
 
9.         Use technology to strengthen the teaching/learning process.

Primary Purpose:
Serve as Special Education Case Managers to develop and oversee the implementation of a student IEP’s. Collect and analyze multiple sources of data to provide input on student progress regarding the general curriculum. Monitor each student on their caseload for adherence to attendance and disciplinary policies. Maintain compliance with federal, state, and district policies or procedures. Provide Specially-Designed Instruction, using research-based methodologies, to assist with student progress on IEP’s.

Major Responsibilities and Duties:
 
1. Comply with all Special Education Case Manager responsibilities per the Case Manager Handbook, Special Education Department procedures, and campus/District procedures.
2. Develop, oversee the implementation of, and progress monitor student IEP’s.
3. Report progress to the parent(s)/guardian(s) as outlined in student IEP’s.
4. Train the general education teacher(s) in how to effectively implement student IEP’s prior to the first day of instruction and immediately following each ARD.
5. Collaborate with the general education teacher(s) to ensure that special education students are receiving the services outlined in their IEP’s, and that students are making progress in the general education curriculum. This shall be on an individualized basis regarding student IEP’s.
6. Attend all required meetings, i.e. ARD meetings, Case Manager Meetings, staffings, faculty meetings, PLC’s, etc..
7. Serve as a liaison between general education and special education, i.e. disseminate information gained from professional development trainings at the campus level.
8. Collaborate with students, parents, and other members of staff to develop IEP’s through the ARD Committee process for each student assigned.
9. Plan and use appropriate research-based instructional and learning strategies, activities, materials, and equipment that reflect understanding or the learning needs of students assigned.
10. Plan and supervise assignments for teacher paraprofessional (s) and volunteer (s), as required.
11. Prepare lessons and lesson plans as required.
12. Manage student behavior, to include implementation of behavior intervention plans and research-based behavioral interventions and methodologies.
13. Intervene in crisis situations and physically restrain students, within District approved procedures, as necessary for staff and student safety.

15. Compile, maintain, and file all physical and computerized reports, records, and other documents required, including the Special Education Principal’s Notebook.
16. Perform other duties related to Special Education as assigned.
