Brief Job Description:
The Play Director works with students to give them an opportunity to experience and develop their interests and skills in the various aspects of dramatic production. This program permits those with unique talents to develop those talents, and Play Director has responsibility for the overall practical and creative interpretation of a dramatic script, taking into account budgetary and physical aspects of a production. The Play Director is involved in all stages of the process, from design and pre-production stages to rehearsal and final performances.

Mininmum Qualifications:
• Past experience with theater and/or actual involvement in theatrical produtions.
• Knowledge of all aspects of a theatrical program.
• Knowledge of methods for teaching and acting and the theater process.
• Ability to motivate teenagers and gain their respect.
Duties and Responsibilities:
1. ?Direct and coordinate a production.
2. Provide student instruction and workshops in theater.
3. Recruit students to join theater.
4. Hold regular meetings, auditions, and rehearsals.  Cast the production.
5. Responsible for set design, props, costumes, construction, and painting. Stage manager for performances.
6. Coordinate sound and lighting for performances.
7. Advertise for performances.
8. Communicate with parents, staff, and administration on schedule, rehearsals, and use of facilities.

Job Description:
Rock Ridge Community Education is seeking a reliable and proactive On-Call Event Support Specialist to assist with light site management duties during scheuled events. This role is ideal for individuals who thrive in a flexible, part-time position and are committed to ensuring the success and safety of community programs.

Key Responsibilities:
• Serve as the on-ste contact during scheduled events, ensuring smooth operations and addressing immediate needs as they arise.
• Perform light custodial tasks, including tidying event spaces, managing trash, and ensuring facilities are presentable before and after events.
• Secure the building after events, including locking doors, turning off lights, and verifying that all participants have exited the premises.
• Assist with basic setup and teardown tasks, such as arranging tables and chairs or light equipment.
• Respond promptly to any facility-related issues during events, escalating concerns when necessary.
• Ensure compliance with safety protocols and guidelines, creating a secure environment for all attendees.
• Ninja gym supervision.
Physical Requirements:
• Ability to lift and move objects weighing up to 50 pounds.
• Ability to perform light physical tasks such as bending, reaching, and standig for extended periods.
Qualifications:
• High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
• Strong communication and problem-solving skills.
• Dependable and able to work independently with minimal supervision.
• Fleible availablity, including evenings and weekends as needed.
• Previous experience in event support or facility management is a plus.
Hours and Compensation:
• This is an on-call position with a maximum of 13.75 hours per week.
• Hourly rate of $25 per hour.
