    8:00 a.m. – 1:00 p.m.                                                                                     All Buildings
    10 Month Position
     
     
     
    Definition:  Assists in the preparation, cooking, serving and satelliting of a variety of foods.
     
    1. Should be working towards certification in a Serving Safe Food Program through the State of Michigan Environmental Health Section of Food Service Sanitation which is presented by the National Restaurant Association which is part of the Educational Foundation.
           2. Assists in the checking of food received. 

           3. Sets up food and beverage on serving line as assigned.
    1. Accepts, counts and fills out deposit slip for each register and student count for food and beverages sold, as assigned.  Money to be put in Deposit Envelope and put in safe in Main Office.
            5.Stores and disposes of excess food properly.
    1. Assists with operation and cleaning as assigned.
    2. Assists with inventory, ordering and storing as assigned.
    3. Implements security measures to prevent vandalism and theft.
    4. Assures that meals meet the meal requirements specified by the U.S.D.A. and the State.
    5. Follows approved housekeeping and safety practices to ensure that sanitary and safe conditions are maintained in the kitchen, the transporting of food, food serving areas and the dining area.
     
    1. Prepare and assist in the preparation and forwarding of reports required by the Food Service Department such as inventories, lunch participation sheets and lunch accounting slips and deposit slips.
     
    1. Performs all other related duties as assigned by the Food Service Director.
