  Andale Elementary School is seeking a dedicated and compassionate School Nurse to provide healthcare services to students and staff. This is a full-time, Monday- Friday position. The ideal candidate will be responsible for promoting health and wellness, responding to medical needs, and ensuring compliance with state health regulations. This is an excellent opportunity to make a meaningful impact in a small school setting where individualized care is valued.

Responsibilities:
• Provide direct healthcare services to students and staff, including first aid, medication administration, and emergency care.
• Maintain and update student health records, ensuring compliance with state and local regulations.
• Develop and implement health plans for students with chronic conditions or special needs.
• Monitor immunization records and ensure compliance with vaccination requirements.
• Promote health education and wellness initiatives within the school community.
• Collaborate with teachers, parents, and administration to support student well-being.
• Respond to medical emergencies and coordinate with emergency medical services when necessary.
• Maintain a clean and organized health office, stocked with necessary medical supplies.
• Provide annual hearing and vision screenings following state guidelines.
Qualifications:
• Current Registered Nurse (RN) preferred or Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN).
• CPR and First Aid certification.
• Previous experience in a school, pediatric, or community health setting is preferred.
• Strong organizational and communication skills.
• Ability to work independently and make informed decisions in emergency situations.
• Compassionate, patient-centered approach to care.
