QUALIFICATIONS:
1. Has the ability to help organize and supervise a high school volleyball program.
2. Has previous successful volleyball coaching experience (Preferred)
3. The assistant coach must have substantial knowledge of the technical aspects of volleyball
and, at the same time, must continue to examine new theories and procedures pertinent to
the sport.
4. The assistant coach must serve as an appropriate role model for student athletes through
his/her instructions and actions.

The Head Volleyball Coach, Athletic Director.

Volleyball Players and Managers
JOB GOAL:
Assist in creating an environment in which volleyball players consistently meet or exceed their potential both individually as well as a team.
Assist in maintaining a competitive volleyball program.
Assist in creating a strong fundamental volleyball skill base.
Assist in enhancing the volleyball player's skill set both mentally and physically.
Continuously upgrade his/her knowledge and skills through coaching clinics, observations, consultation, etc.
GENERAL REQUIREMENTS:
1. Complete all IHSAA Required Coaching classes via the NFHSlearn.com
2. Pass a limited criminal background check
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
1. Has a thorough knowledge of all the athletic policies approved by the LaVille.
Schools' Board of Education and is responsible for their implementation.
2. Has knowledge of existing IHSAA regulations; implements same consistently and
interprets them for players and parents at the jr. high level.
3. Understands the proper administrative chain of command and follows it.
STAFF RESPONSIBILITIES:
1. Adheres to the Head Volleyball Coach's established fundamental team philosophy, skills and techniques to be taught.
2. Participates in staff meetings when applicable.
3. Performs such other duties which may be assigned by the head coach, athletic director and/or principal.
FINANCE AND EQUIPMENT:
1. Works through the head coach in handling team budget items.
2. Works with the head coach in organizing and implimenting apporpriate fundraising opportunities.
3. Assists in uniform and equipment collection and inventory.
4. Assists in monitoring the locker rooms and coaches' offices.
5. Examines locker rooms before and after practices and games, checking on general cleanliness of the
facility. Responsible for cleanliness and maintenance of specific sport equipment as well as the wrestling room.
6. Secures all doors, lights, windows and locks before leaving building if custodians are not on duty.
PUBLIC RELATIONS:
1. Assists the head coach in organizing parents, coaches, players and guests for preseason meetings.
2. Assists with the promotion of the sport within the school through recruiting athletes to the volleyball
program.
3. Assists in managing and maintaining good public relations with news media, booster club, parents, officials,
volunteers and fans.
