Description:
 
The Upper Moreland Township School District is seeking qualified bus aide candidates who will work with students during the extended school year program. 
 
Salary:  $15.00 per hour (minimum of 4 hours per day and 4 days per week)

Responsibilities Include: 
 
• Assist assigned student safely on and off bus or van.  This includes but is not limited to assisting with any assigned medical equipment, transportation devices, school equipment etc. as able with van/bus driver assistance;

• Assist student and driver to secure any equipment appropriately on the transportation vehicle;

• Assist in securing student in the transportation vehicle as assigned with driver assistance if needed;

• Monitor assigned student conduct on assigned vehicle, documenting any safety violations or behavior issues;

• Communicates with student and assigned instructor, assistants, administrators and parents as needed and in a professional manner;

• Attend any in-service training as assigned;

•  Other job duties as assigned 
 
Qualifications:
 
• Previous experience working with students with special needs preferred 

• Assist student and driver to secure any equipment appropriately on the transportation vehicle;

• Assist in securing student in the transportation vehicle as assigned with driver assistance if needed;

• Monitor assigned student conduct on assigned vehicle, documenting any safety violations or behavior issues;

• Communicates with student and assigned instructor, assistants, administrators and parents as needed and in a professional manner;

• Must be available for entire duration of program 

• Must be a good team player, punctual, energetic, parent friendly and have an eagerness to learn.

• Must successfully complete and maintain compliance with all federal and state background and criminal record check requirements

SUMMARY:
 
Responsible for providing nursing services to students in assigned building.
 
 
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include the following:

• Maintain health and nursing services records for students
• Identify school health problems and inform staff members and administration as necessary
• Organize, schedule, perform, and record annual health examinations and screenings
• Dispense prescribed medication and health services as directed by a physician order
• Provide care for first aid, accidents, and illnesses
• Complete state required paperwork and reports in a timely manner
• Serve as a resource for staff and administration in regards to school health services
• Serve on relevant committees and groups as needed
• Serve as the liaison between parents and the school on all health related matters
• Provide outreach to families for the collection of state required examinations and immunization records
• Provide support for school related health pandemic concerns, including outreach, family contact, and reporting
• Other duties as assigned by administration
 

QUALIFICATIONS:

SUMMARY:
Responsible for student supervision in the hallways, cafeteria and during recess.  This individual is directly responsible for student safety and well-being. 

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:  Other duties may be assigned
• Supervises students at recess, during lunchtime, and in hallways.
• Maintains a harmonious atmosphere by encouraging peaceful resolution of conflicts.
• Directs movement of groups in a safe and organized manner to and from the cafeteria in addition to monitoring students in hallways.

• Participates in in-service training as directed.
• Demonstrates understanding of students’ needs.
