The Township of Union Public Schools is seeking dedicated, knowledgeable, and qualified Substitute Teachers.
 
Responsibilities:
 
• Assist with classroom instruction and management in the absence of a regular Teacher

• Ensure regular classroom routines are followed

• Follows and teaches lesson plans

• Aides students in understanding subject matter
 
Requirements:
 
• Certified:

   

  • Valid NJ CE, CEAS or Standard Teacher Certification; or 

  • Valid NJ Substitute Certification

• Non-Certified:

   

  • Minimum of 60 college credits needed to obtain substitute certification in NJ

  • Additional information on obtaining a substitute certification can be found on the NJ Department of Education’s Website

  • Visit NJEDCert to apply for certification

• Valid NJ criminal history letter

• Negative tuberculosis test obtained within six months of initial employment
