Performs general cleaning and janitorial duties in various areas of the building, including; classrooms, bathrooms, laboratories, offices, corridors, gyms, locker/shower rooms, cafeterias, stairways, walls, windows, outside grounds, other areas as assigned by schedules or directed by Principal or designee.
Conducts minor repairs and maintenance tasks such as replacing light fixtures or clearing clogged pipes.
Guide a team of custodial staff, ensuring efficient and effective performance of duties.
Task Assignment: Distribute daily tasks among custodial team members, considering workload and priorities.
Training: Conduct training sessions for new custodial staff, ensuring they understand safety protocols and job requirements.
Quality Control: Maintain high standards of cleanliness and hygiene throughout the facility by regularly inspecting work areas and addressing any deficiencies.
Inventory Management: Monitor and manage custodial supplies and equipment, ensuring proper stock levels and timely replenishment.
Scheduling: Develop and maintain cleaning schedules, taking into account school events, holidays, and seasonal requirements.
Communication: Liaise with school administration, addressing any custodial concerns or coordinating special cleaning requirements.
Safety Compliance: Enforce safety protocols and standards, promoting a secure and healthy environment for both custodial staff and school occupants.
Problem Resolution: Address and resolve custodial issues, conflicts, or complaints promptly and effectively.
Record Keeping: Maintain accurate records of cleaning activities, supplies usage, and equipment maintenance.
Collaboration: Collaborate with maintenance staff and other relevant departments to ensure the overall well-being of the school facility.
Adherence to Policies: Ensure that custodial activities align with school and district policies and regulations.
Inspections: Conduct routine inspections to identify and report building maintenance needs, including repairs, damages, and safety concerns.
