    Effective immediately, the Human Resources Department will accept on-line applications for the position of Nutrition Services Assistant at the Community Learning Center Building.  The position works 5.0 hours per day 8:45am - 1:45pm; student-contact days only.  Rate of pay is $18.26 per hour; Independent-Nutrition Services Group.

      Job Summary:
      Perform a variety of assigned tasks including, preping breakfast andlLunch, serving students, cashiering dishwashing under established rules, policies and procedures.

      Job Functions
      • Assemble, prepare, and serve food items according to child nutrition guidelines.
      • Wash, rinse, and sanitize dishes, and other items using procedures established in HACCP plans.
      • Wash and sanitize tables between breakfast and lunch. 
      • Work independently with little supervision.
      • Clean and handle food properly using procedures established in HACCP plans.
      • Monitor meal components and claim meals for reimbursement that adhere to federal guidelines and cashiering for ala carte.
      • Utilize safety measures as it pertains to use and operation of equipment in the kitchen including utensils, knives, and other equipment
      • Represent a positive public relations environment with customers
      • Attend education classes, training classes and or workshops as required
      • Other duties as assigned

      • High School Diploma or equivalent
      • Excellent customer service skills
      • Ability to work well with others
      • Ability to perform routine computer functions, including the use of email, Internet navigation and Microsoft Word
      • Demonstrated reliable, regular and prompt attendance.
      • Work independely.

While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to talk and hear, stoop, lift, use hands for fingering, grasping and feeling, wrists, hands and/or fingers for repetitive motions.  The employee is occasionally required to kneel, reach, stand, walk and climb stairs.  The employee must frequently lift and/or move up to 40 pounds.  The employee is occasionally required to lift and/or move up to and over 40 pounds.  Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision and the ability to adjust focus.
