Sherrard Community Unit School District #200, Sherrard, Illinois, has an opening for a Head Cook at the Matherville Intermediate School for the 2025-2026 school year.
 
Qualifications for this position include:
 
1.  Current Food Service Manager License (required).
2. Experience in school or commercial food service required.
3. Ability to lift 40 pounds and stand for long periods of time.
4. Must be able to supervise kitchen staff.
5. Basic computer skills are required.
6. Experience in recordkeeping and purchasing required.
7. Evidence of initiative, ingenuity, loyalty and willingness to cooperate.
 
The position is 178 days during the school year for 7.3 hours per work day.The current starting wage is $18.65 per hour.Position start date is August 1, 2025.
