The successful candidate for the position of Director of Human Resources shall provide leadership and direction in the overall management of personnel and labor relations for the Shelton Public Schools, including assuming primary responsibilities for all contract negotiations and administration; the oversight of legal issues pertaining to Human Resources; recruitment and retention of instructional and support personnel; and ensuring compliance with all State of Connecticut and Federal statutes regarding certification, licensing, NCLB, and other areas as required.  In addition, the Director of Human Resources shall be responsible for the planning and implementation of goals and objectives that will promote the continued growth and development of the department.
 
 
 
This position reports directly to the Superintendent.
