POSITION DESCRIPTION
 
TRANSPORTATION ADMINSTRATOR
 
The transportation coordinator is responsible for all aspects of transportation with district-owned buses. The transportation coordinator reports directly to the Superintendent of Schools or designee. Managerial and department Coordination experiences preferred. Current CDL  license required.
 
PERFORMANCE RESPONSIBILITIES
 
1. Present bus routes to school board for approval and posting each year.
 
2. Build annual transportation budget for the district.
 
3. Maintain legal paperwork required for State reporting (rosters, physicals, etc.)
 
4. Communicate with parents as necessary.
 
5. Maintain open communication with building level administrators.
 
6. File all transportation-related forms (trip sheets, logs, etc.)
 
7. Set up appropriate professional development for drivers and meetings as necessary.
 
8. Schedule all bus routes and regular runs, field trips, athletic trips, summer bus runs, and recreation trips.
 
9.  Do billing & invoices for all out-of-district coordinated bus runs.
       
       10. Other duties as assigned by the Superintendent of Schools or designee.
 
 
CONDITIONS OF EMPLOYMENT:
 
The term of the contract will be for 220 days.  Employment contingent on a Criminal History Records Check Clearance through the NHDOE and DOT.
