Behavior Interventionist
Salisbury Township School District is now accepting applications for the position of Behavior Interventionist for the 2024-2025 school year. The position has an anticipated start date of August 2024. The Special Education Behavioral Interventionist provides direct, intense treatment that will focus on helping students learn to respond to their daily environment in a practical and productive manner. Emphasis will be placed on a child’s current needs, functions, and support systems, as they relate to educational and mental health needs. Appropriate functional behavioral assessments (FBA), positive behavioral support plans (PBSP), and intervention plans will be developed, implemented and monitored. The Behavior Interventionist will develop and organize group and individual social skills activities.
Requirements: Bachelor's Degree in a recognized related Mental Health clinical discipline or related human services field; holding a current Board Certified Behavior Analyst (BCBA) certificate obtained through the Behavior Analyst Certification Board (BACB); or hold a current license for Behavior Specialist in the State of Pennsylvania is preferred.
