RSU 40 is seeking a half time special education teacher and half-time interventionist to provide support to students in Friendship, Maine. Friendship Village School is a small school located in a close-knit fishing community with approximately 65 students grades K-6. With small class sizes and supportive parents, we have the ability to focus on the individual needs of every student.  The Special Education/Interventionist teacher would support academic and social emotional learning needs of identified students.  We are looking for a team player who wants to work closely with classroom teachers and the building administrator to ensure the success and growth of all students. 
The suitable candidate will have experience working in a resource room setting and will design and implement rich individualized instruction to both students receiving both intervention and special education services.
