PURPOSE OF THE POSITION: The assistant principal assists the building principal in all
facets of school operations, student assessment programs, and monitoring of school
budgets/expenditures. This position also assumes responsibility for functions of the building
principal in his/her absence. This position also administers the student personnel program and
counsels students relative to educational and co-curricular activities.

SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES: Certified and non-certified staff as designated by the
principal.

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES: To perform this job successfully, an individual must be
able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. The requirements listed below are
representative of the knowledge, skill, and/or ability required. In addition to the requirements
listed below, regular attendance is an essential function of this position.

1. Ensures that all actions are in concert with the Board policies as well as the mission

2. Participates in job training and professional growth opportunities in order to enhance
ability to perform the essential functions of the job.
3. Performs other related duties as assigned for the purpose of ensuring an efficient and
effective work environment.
4. Implements student personnel policies and coordinates activities with the policies of the
Board of Education in regards to attendance, discipline, and achievement.
5. Interviews students, parents, and staff to take necessary action in cases of truancy,
delinquency, course failure, and/or discipline concerns.
6. Monitors student achievement data and institutes and/or implements adjustments in
curriculum/instructional delivery.
7. Completes documentation and reports as needed to fulfill Federal, State, and District
mandates in a timely manner.
8. Assumes responsibility for functions of building principal in his/her absence.

QUALIFICATIONS: Master’s degree and Type 75 Certificate, experience in public school
administration, proven record of providing equity in a public agency or school leadership,
management and leadership skills are adaptable to public relations, human relations, equity
principles and planning capability.

9. Assists with the selection of assistant and volunteer coaches.
10. Properly supervises student athletes during all related activities and events.
11. Maintains individual and team statistics and records.
12. Plans and implements a seasonal awards recognition program through the building athletic office.
13. Engages in sport specific professional development education.
14. Implements programmatic instruction of sequential fundamentals to their feeder programs and works closely with the strength and conditioning coach.
 
QUALIFICATIONS:
1. Valid Illinois Teachers Certificate and/or Meets IHSA Criteria (Qualification of Coaches – 2.070)
2. Previous coaching experience preferred.

10. Properly supervises student athletes during all related activities and events.

14. Implements programmatic instruction of sequential fundamentals to their feeder programs and works closely with the strength and conditioning coach.
 
QUALIFICATIONS:
1. Valid Illinois Teachers Certificate and/or Meets IHSA Criteria (Qualification of Coaches – 2.070)
2. Previous coaching experience preferred.

QUALIFICATIONS:
1. Must hold current professional educator license and be a full-time classroom teacher at the middle or high school.
2. Previous successful experience as a teacher, and previous demonstration of school leadership experience preferred.
3. Has completed or is enrolled in district-sponsored mandatory training for this position.

Directly supports curriculum implementation, instructional shifts, and assessment practices at the school level by utilizing daily collaboration time to provide peer support, via classroom visits, modeling, or co-planning, as well as monitoring and guiding PLC work to ensure alignment across coursework of a content area.
5. Collaborates monthly with Curriculum Dean to enhance curriculum implementation, instructional shifts, and assessment practices at the district level, identifying areas for targeted support, peer needs, and system-wide continuous improvement opportunities.
6. Collaborates monthly with Director of Instruction to establish and monitor horizontal and vertical alignment of curriculum implementation across all learning programs.
7. Collaborates with school administration to address progress of curriculum implementation, instructional shifts, and assessment practices of content area PLCs.
 
QUALIFICATIONS:
1. Must hold current professional educator license and be a full-time classroom teacher at the middle or high school.
2. Previous successful experience as a teacher, and previous demonstration of school leadership experience preferred.
3. Has completed or is enrolled in district-sponsored mandatory training for this position.

PURPOSE OF THE POSITION: The Curriculum Implementation Leader will actively coordinate between district curriculum leadership and teachers within their content area and school while fully implementing best instructional practices to execute the curriculum and improve student educational outcomes. The teacher in this role serves as a job-embedded support to teachers within a specific content area.

5. Collaborates monthly with Curriculum Dean to enhance curriculum implementation, instructional shifts, and assessment practices at the district level, identifying areas for targeted support, peer needs, and system-wide continuous improvement opportunities.
6. Collaborates monthly with Director of Instruction to establish and monitor horizontal and vertical alignment of curriculum implementation across all learning programs.
7. Collaborates with school administration to address progress of curriculum implementation, instructional shifts, and assessment practices of content area PLCs.
 
QUALIFICATIONS:
1. Must hold current professional educator license and be a full-time classroom teacher at the middle or high school.
2. Previous successful experience as a teacher, and previous demonstration of school leadership experience preferred.
3. Has completed or is enrolled in district-sponsored mandatory training for this position.

PURPOSE OF THE POSITION: The Teacher understands the central concepts, methods of inquiry, and structures of disciplines and creates learning experiences that make the content meaningful to all students.
 
SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES: None
 
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:  The requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge, skill, and/or ability required. In addition to the requirements listed below, regular attendance is an essential function of this position.
 
1. Ensures that all actions are in concert with the Board policies as well as the mission statement, beliefs, objectives and parameters found in the Board’s strategic plan.
2. Participates in job training and professional growth opportunities in order to enhance ability to perform the essential functions of the job.
3. Performs other related duties as assigned for the purpose of ensuring an efficient and effective work environment.
4. Plan, prepare and deliver instructional activities that facilitate active learning experiences
5. Engage students in an inquiry-based delivery model of instruction.
6. Provide a variety of learning materials and resources for use in educational activities.
7. Uses a wide range of instructional strategies and technologies to meet and enhance the needs of a diverse student population.
8. Considers equitable resources and equitable instructional practices to meet the needs of a diverse student population.
9. Update and maintain all necessary records accurately and completely as required by law, district policies and school regulations.
10. Create and maintain a safe learning environment for all students.
11. Demonstrates a variety of effective behavior management techniques appropriate to the needs of all students, including those with disabilities.
12. Maintain discipline in accordance with building expectations as well as the district’s student code of conduct.
13. Communicate necessary information regularly to students, colleagues and parents regarding student progress and student needs.

16. Analyze student data from both formative and summative assessments to drive differentiated instruction and data-based decision making for students.

QUALIFICATIONS:
Illinois Teaching License with appropriate endorsements and certifications.
