    ACCOUNTABLE TO: Data Management Support Specialist

    HOURS:  One hour per day in afteerschool program time

    SALARY: Hourly rate commensurate with District contract status  

    Job Summary:
    To support program data collection for 21st Century afterschool programs approximately one hour each program day, using the Cityspan software.

    Responsibilities
    • Work with the relevant Center Director to establish program information for each quarter as appropriate
    • Enter each class/activity (day, time, 21st CCLC category) as necessary
    • Enter program staff data
    • Enroll students into activities
    • Enter daily attendance
    • Resolve any attendance questions within the afterschool program
    • Print forms and run reports as needed
    • Be the point of contact for program-related inquiries from the Data Management Support Specialist
    • Submit timesheet and PAR/Calendar for payroll in an accurate and timely manner to the Center Director

    Requirements
    • Proven organizational skills,
    • Ability to enter data in a timely and accurate fashion in accordance with reporting deadlines
    • Familiarity with computer systems and databases, training in the use of Cityspan will be given
    • Knowledge of 21st Century after schools activities is useful
    • Knowledge of data collection methods
    • A current role within the school building is preferred

    • Assists in matters relating to students
    • Directs and manages matters relating to student discipline and behavior
    • Supervises the accounting, reporting, and monitoring of student attendance
    • Responds to student behavior issues and employs problem solving approach when appropriate
    • Coordinates and supervises student use of facilities, bus transportation, and related issues
    • Coordinates parent conferences relating to discipline and attendance
    • Supervises school-related activities as assigned by the building principal
    • Attends parent conferences when appropriate
    • Serves with parents, faculty and student groups in advancing educational and related activities and objectives
    • Performs other tasks and assumes responsibilities as assigned
    • Use and promote instructional strategies as defined by the academic program
    • Support the individualized instruction and homework support in the areas of math, reading and writing as provided in the curriculum

    Qualifications:
    • Current Minnesota teaching license required.
    • Prior successful experience in urban, multicultural education desirable.
    • Demonstrates continued professional development through course work, research, peer collaboration, and/or job-embedded staff development.
    • Working knowledge of the subject matter, classroom management techniques, current researched best practices and strategies, as well as students' learning styles and needs, both academic and affective.
