Job Summary: 
Assumes the complete responsibility for directing and teaching all classes offered in Instrumental Music, Music Theory, and directing the activities of one or more performances, utilizing the District’s approved curriculum within the scope of the District’s adopted philosophy and goals; assists in other school programs as assigned, and creates a flexible program and environment favorable to learning and personal growth in accordance with each student’s ability.

Minimum Qualifications & Abilities: 
 
• Bachelor’s Degree, including all courses needed to meet credential requirements.
• Valid California teaching credential authorizing service in grade levels and areas assigned.
• Prior teaching experience preferred.

Essential Functions: 
• Teaches music appreciation, harmony and explorations in instrumental music (band, instrumental ensemble, etc.).
• Plans and implements a balanced music program.
• Develops instructional plans and organizes class time so preparation, rehearsal, and instruction are accomplished.
• Travels between school sites.
• Recruits & organizes students into an instrumental music program at each assigned school in cooperation with parents, classroom teachers and site administrators.
• Instructs students in the basic aspects required to play their instrument, as well as, in the basic elements of music reading.
• Provides individual and small group instruction.  Adapts the curriculum to the needs of pupils with varying intellectual and artistic abilities.  Accommodate a variety of instructional strategies to support all students.
• Instructs students in proper care and use of materials and equipment storage.
• Maintains accurate inventory to include loss prevention and maintenance.
• Utilizes the districts ultrasonic machine for instrument cleaning and maintenance.
• Establishes and maintains standards of pupil behavior required to provide an orderly and productive environment for teaching and learning.
• Evaluates each student’s performance and musical growth in knowledge and understanding, and prepares progress reports.
• Plans, rehearses, and directs students in musical programs for the school and the community.

Minimum Qualifications & Abilities:

Essential Functions:
Employee Onboarding and Documentation:  
• Prepares all new hire forms/letters and ensures that all documentation has been forwarded to the appropriate departments.
• Responsible for the notification to employees on STAR Team & Grade Level Chair assignments.
 Compliance and Training: 
• Maintains database on required training for STAR Team participants.
• Monitors compliance for long-term substitute teachers in order to ensure that the appropriate notifications have been sent per Every Student Succeeds Act.
• Provides training to new and existing staff to comply with various state laws and maintains records to verify that all employees have met the requirements for trainings, including, but not limited to Child Abuse Reporting and Sexual Harassment Training.
• Must comply with notifications as required by AB 2499.
• Participates in annual credential audits to become familiar with credentialing requirements and attends trainings that pertain to new credential requirements.
• Provides assistance to District personnel regarding HR policies and procedures, ensuring that employees have the resources needed to understand and follow guidelines.
 Employee Benefits and Support: 
• Maintains knowledge of all health plan benefits in order to properly provide employees with assistance when necessary.
• Responsible for preparing and mailing all required leave notices, including, but not limited to FMLA Notices and Pregnancy Disability Leave Notices.
 Data and Record Management: 
• Maintains log of GATE Teachers
• Maintains current staff databases for both certificated and classified employees, including substitute employees.
• Responsible for providing staff employment information for input into the student information system as needed for mandatory state reports, and performs audits to verify all staff information.
• Responsible for maintaining Classified Evaluation Master Schedule; sending out monthly reminders to all supervisors/administrators when classified evaluations are due, and prepares an annual report.
 Legal and Regulatory Compliance: 
• Attends meetings to keep informed of new laws and regulations pertaining to Human Resources.
• Provides support to the Director of Human Resources and Superintendent with litigation, subpoenas, and legal documentation.
• Maintains information required for termination notices on employees that have exhausted their leave entitlements, and works with Director on compliance requirements.
 
 HR Operations and Support: 
• Assists the Director of Human Resources with the creation/update of all job descriptions for both certificated and classified staff.
• Attends job fairs for recruitment of certificated and classified staff.
• Maintains a working knowledge of all Human Resources Department duties in order to step in and assist during the absence of HR staff or during periods of high workload.
• Assists in the review and monitoring of all HR functions for charter schools when applicable.
 Technology and Termination Processes:

• Distributes and maintains Internet user log and agreement forms and notifies the Technology Department when staff has terminated employment.

Job Summary: Provides specialized instruction and services for students who have disorders of speech, language, and/or communication; performs speech and language assessments; assists in developing the Individualized Education Program for students with speech language, and/or communication deficits; and consults with teachers and parents. 
 
Salary Range: $97,504 - $120,073 – Annual Contract (190 Work Days/School Year)

Minimum Qualifications & Abilities: 
• Master’s Degree, including all courses necessary to meet credential requirements.
• Valid California credential authorizing service in grade levels and areas assigned, including Clinical Rehabilitative Services credential.
• Must be able to work effectively with administrators, staff, parents, and community.
 
Essential Functions: 
• Identifies and uses diagnostic assessment materials and procedures that are appropriate for the intended use; considers student’s cultural, linguistic, and disability background when choosing assessment tools; applies evaluation data and findings to intervention, instruction, programming, and services through written reports, intervention plans, and/or meetings.
• Conducts speech/language screenings and evaluations that are compliant with federal and state regulations; effectively communicates evaluation findings to parents and school staff through written reports and conferences; utilizes evaluation findings to inform accurate eligibility, placement, and service decisions.
• Designs and implements appropriate intervention strategies, including application of technology; monitors the effectiveness of interventions.
• Provides speech/language services through a variety of delivery models.
• Provides information relative to speech, language, and communication disorders to students, parents, teachers, and others as appropriate.
• Collaborates with teachers and parents regarding program content and speech/language services.
• Provides augmentative and alternative communication (AAC) systems for individuals with severe expressive and/or language comprehension disorders.
• Collects student performance data.
• Establishes and maintains a daily schedule of speech/language services.
• Implements requirements of federal and state regulations.
• Maintains records and reports required by district, state, and federal agencies.
• Provides quarterly reports regarding educational progress towards goals/objectives to parents and school personnel for each student on his/her caseload.
• Develops parent and staff trainings related to supporting communicative needs.
• Complete MediCal Billing.
• Participates in professional growth activities.
• Performs other duties as assigned by Superintendent or designee.

Job Summary:
Assists in maintenance, deployment, and support for computer systems, servers, printers, computer networking components, communications systems, and various other equipment in instructional settings or office workstations.

Minimum Qualifications & Abilities:
• High school diploma, A+ Computer Certificate desired.
• Minimum of one (1) year experience in computer/network related repair and analysis.
• Knowledge of Microsoft’s desktop operating systems, computer hardware, and configuring of necessary equipment, including, but not limited to computers, servers, printers, tablets, and mobile devices.
• Ability to diagnose and do minor repair of audio/visual and office computer equipment.
• Ability to understand, analyze, and apply information obtained from technical manuals without direction.
• Ability to maintain cooperative, harmonious, and tactful relationships with staff and vendors.
• Ability to effectively communicate orally and in writing.
• Possess valid California Driver’s License with acceptable DMV printout.
   
Essential Functions:
• Provides individual and group on-site help, answers questions in person and by telephone or electronic messaging to students/staff/clients.
• Installs hardware and peripheral components, including, but not limited to monitors, CD/DVD drives, modems, keyboards, printers, disk drives, and scanners.
• Provides support to basic computer and peripheral equipment setups and installations of computer hardware, software, and other equipment in instructional settings or office workstations.
• Assists senior technical staff in diagnosing device or system malfunctions to separate operator, hardware, and software problems.
• Assists users in solving problems, researches hardware/software problems, and directs to the appropriate staff to resolve.
• Maintains trouble tickets, updates, and status within the District’s ticket tracking system.
• Performs other duties as assigned by Superintendent or designee.
