Role Overview:
The Human Resources & Payroll Administrator supports the work of the human resources and payroll functions and is responsible for processing and administering Board remuneration and casual payroll.   

What you will do:
• Administer and monitor division wide staff absences and daily attendance ensuring compliance with the various collective agreements, employment legislation and contracts.
• Complete all required tracking and documentation to comply with provincial and school division record keeping requirements.
• Review new employee setups and employee terminations.
• Verify and process data and payments for year-end compensation including, but not limited to, service recognition days and unassigned block hours.
• Provide support and human resource data for division events such as employee service awards.
• Perform other duties as may be required or assigned by the Human Resources Superintendent. 

What will make you successful:
• Diploma in Business Administration, or related discipline, with a preference for a specialty in Human Resource Management and/or Payroll Administration.
• Minimum 3 years experience providing administrative support to human resources and/or payroll departments in a large and fast paced business environment.
• Payroll Compliance Practitioner (PCP) designation an asset. 
• Excellent working knowledge of human resource functions and payroll systems.
• Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
• Ability to establish effective working relationships with all levels of staff in the organization.  
• Ability to independently initiate and organize projects to achieve efficiencies.

Role Overview:
The Transportation Officer provides administrative, financial, organizational, analytical, and logistical support to the transportation department to ensure safe, effective, efficient, and responsive service delivery to students and staff across the school division. 

What you will do:
• Act as a central point of communications contact for the department, directing inquiries to appropriate staff and ensuring accurate and timely follow up to drivers and other staff, parents, vendors, and third parties. Methods of communication include phones, voicemail, texts, email, and letters.
• Responsible for the upkeep, accuracy, and reliable operation of bus route planning software, including collaboration with IT to ensure optimal functionality.  
• Manage technology applications such as School Messenger, MSS, BusPlanner, and updates to InSite to ensure information is up to date and accurate.
• Design, evaluate, and monitor 150+ bus routes for 4,500+ students across the school division, balancing considerations of safety, efficiency, student ride times, and available resources.
• Provide support to human resources processes by independently and accurately completing functions such as absence tracking, leave requests, booking of substitute drivers to cover absences, substitute driver record keeping, onboarding for new bus drivers, and payroll.
• Develop and maintain accurate, current, and accessible electronic and paper information systems and tracks and compiles data required for project schedules, internal department reports, and public reports.
• Provide support to safety processes through duties such as independently and accurately booking services, tracking driver license renewals, managing circle check documentation, and completing other operational requirements, paying careful attention to follow requirements as per regulations, administrative procedures, and Division practices.
• Manage the charter booking system to accommodate curricular and extra-curricular trips, adhering to system standards and processes.  
• Anticipate key events, activities, and deadlines and prepare/organize reference materials, correspondence, files, and meeting material.
• Code invoices, expenses, and purchasing card transactions ensuring proper signatures, in an accurate and timely manner for processing by finance.
• Prepare and distribute documents, letters, reports, spreadsheets, and other information as required, including documents for onboarding new bus drivers.
• Work under the direction of the Transportation Manager for day-to-day activities.  
• Perform other duties as assigned by the Transportation Supervisor. 

What will make you successful:
• Diploma in Business Administration or related area.
• Minimum three years of related experience.
• Experience in bus route planning and/or transportation logistics is a definite asset. 
• Excellent working knowledge of Microsoft Office particularly in Word, Excel and Outlook; knowledge of department-specific applications such as School Messenger, GPS software, MSS and BusPlanner would be an asset.
• Ability to independently initiate and organize projects to achieve work process efficiencies.

Educational Assistants provide a range of support services that help students to achieve their academic, social, physical and personal potential. Educational Assistants assist students with intensive needs in five key areas, providing personal care, life skills and experiences, academic support, communication, and behavioural support as required by students and directed by teachers, to promote engagement, participation and success in school.

What you will do:
• Provide personal care to students to maintain their dignity and promote independence.  Personal care may include catheterization, administration of medication, oxygen monitoring, gastronomy tube feeding, changing student briefs, supporting toileting, and other procedures outlined in the student accommodation plan.
• Assist and coach students to develop the skills and abilities they need to succeed in their daily lives and help prepare students for life after high school.
• Work under the direction of the administrator, classroom teacher and student services teacher to promote student engagement in learning and provides academic support as defined by teachers, including small group/one on one reinforcement activities and clarifying/assisting with assignments.  
• Support up to date and complete student programming records by documenting progress on targeted goals in the Inclusion and Intervention Plan and other reporting, and participates in parent-student-teacher conferences when requested by the parent or administrator.
• Promote, facilitate and model positive behaviour interventions and supports to encourage, support, reinforce and facilitate appropriate and positive student behaviour and social interactions, guided by Safety and Behaviour Plans where applicable.
• Work in collaboration with the students’ team to ensure learning occurs in the least restrictive environment and encourages/facilitates peer group interaction and participation in learning and other school activities.

Role Overview:
Psychologists provide a comprehensive range of services to students whose ability to learn is impacted. Psychologists utilize diagnostic assessments, consultation and collaboration, and apply expertise in mental health, learning disorders, and intellectual disabilities to adapt programming and enhance learning opportunities and success for students. 

What you will do:
• Work primarily within a classroom environment to support the Response to Intervention framework focused on developing, implementing and monitoring interventions and strategies that meet the social, emotional, behavioural and learning needs of students.
• Provide timely diagnostic, assessment, and consultation services for students with learning disorders or intellectual disabilities.
• Communicate effectively with students and families, to connect them with community service providers as part of an intervention plan.
• Proactively conduct risk assessments of student safety, emotional and behavioural needs, implement crisis prevention practices and deliver crisis intervention and response services to promote safe and healthy learning environments.
• Maintain up-to-date assessments and intervention records.
• Build the capacity of teachers and administrators using a variety of proactive, innovative and effective professional development delivery techniques, including in-class modeling, collegial mentoring and coaching, professional reference materials and presenting at professional learning events.
• Perform other duties as may be required or assigned by the Student Services Coordinator. 

What will make you successful:
• Master’s Degree in Psychology or Educational Psychology.
• Registered and in good standing with the Saskatchewan College of Psychologists.
• Certified in school psychology competencies from the Saskatchewan College of Psychologists.
• Possible experience working in the education sector as a teacher.
• Knowledge of assessment, intervention, and consultation methods in relation to childhood and adolescent learning disorders.
• Superior case management tracking, documentation, writing and reporting skills.
• Knowledge of and adherence to professional standards and ethics of the Saskatchewan College of Psychologists.
• Ability to manage confidential material and maintain staff and student privacy. 

What you can expect:
• Salary is in accordance with the current STF agreement plus 10% allowance
• 100% employer paid health benefits plan.
• Employer matched pension plan.
• Hours of work are 8 hours per day on school days. Psychologists are not scheduled to work during school vacation periods including the summer break.

Job Purpose:  Spare drivers fill in when permanent drivers are unable to run their routes, and also have frequent opportunities to drive for school sports, field trips and other school charter trips.    Becoming a spare driver is also a great way to gain experience and become eligible for permanent routes as vacancies arise.  Bus drivers can feel good every day about providing a service essential to the children and youth in rural Saskatchewan.  Our bus drivers work in a supportive work environment, driving modern buses equipped with up to date safety technology.

Job Purpose:  The Mechanic position is responsible for the inspection, maintenance, repair and rescue of school buses and other fleet vehicles, working as part of the Transportation team to provide safe, efficient and reliable transportation services to students and schools.

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:
• Minimum 3 years related experience
• Thorough working knowledge of the mechanical and electrical systems for various makes and models of buses
• Ability to read and interpret work orders and technical manuals
• Current knowledge of industry best practices and use of technology
• Ability to communicate effectively with other employees, particularly other mechanics and bus drivers and to establish effective working relationships at all levels in the organization
• Strength and stamina required to work with heavy equipment and work in cramped or awkward positions
• Knowledge of regulations and guidelines of governing bodies regarding repairs, inspection, maintenance and safety

Qualifications:
• Journeyperson Mechanic is preferred, however a combination of education and experience will be considered. 
• Minimum three (3) years’ experience in a busy mechanic shop and in field service.
• Experience working with school buses is a definite asset.
• Valid Saskatchewan Driver’s License. 

Working Conditions:
• As per Conditions of Employment (non-union)
• 37.5 hours per week, 12 months per year
• Commencing as soon as possible
• Salary range:
  • With Journeyperson Mechanic Certificate: $37.22 - $43.55 per hour
  • Without Journeyperson Mechanic Certificate: $33.55 - $35.95 per hour
• Ability to perform physical labour on a sustained basis, including lifting heavy objects, installing tires and other heavy parts up to 80 lb. regularly and more if required
• Some travel within the school division is required, in adverse conditions

Mechanic is responsible for the inspection, maintenance, repair and rescue of school buses and other fleet vehicles, working as part of the Transportation team to provide safe, efficient and reliable transportation services to students and schools.

What you will do:
• Independently and accurately diagnose vehicle malfunctions and perform repairs to gasoline and diesel engines, including steering, body and chassis, electrical, cooling and brake systems, drive trains, transmissions, suspension and hydraulic systems.
• Test repaired equipment for proper performance and ensure that the work done meets specifications and legislated requirements.
• Perform required and ad hoc vehicle safety inspections to evaluate condition, identify and complete necessary repairs and/or preventative maintenance routines.
• Use judgment to complete assigned vehicle work in an efficient manner while keeping safety considerations first and foremost.
• Complete all required tracking and records to comply with provincial and school division record keeping requirements.
• Perform rescues of stranded buses in a variety of weather and site conditions.
• Maintain a safe, clean, organized and productive work area.
• Perform other duties as may be required or assigned by the Fleet Manager or the Transportation Supervisor

What will make you successful:
• Journeyperson Mechanic status
• Minimum three (3) years’ experience in a busy mechanic shop and in field service.
• Experience working with school buses is a definite asset.
• Valid Saskatchewan Driver’s License. 
• Ability to perform physical labour on a sustained basis, including lifting heavy objects, installing tiresand other heavy parts up to 80 lb.
• Ability to read and interpret work orders and technical manuals.
• Current knowledge of industry best practices and use of technology.
• Ability to communicate effectively with other employees, particularly other mechanics and bus drivers and to establish effective working relationships at all levels in the organization.
• Strength and stamina required to work with heavy equipment and work in cramped or awkward positions.
• Knowledge of regulations and guidelines of governing bodies regarding repairs, inspection, maintenance and safety.
• Ability to manage confidential material and maintain staff and student privacy.

• Hourly rate range: $37.22 - $43.55.
