Now Hiring Fully Licensed School Bus Drivers for Athletic and Field Trips 

Our Bus Drivers are an important part of the community.  They are committed to safety and have a genuine interest and caring attitude for the children of Putnam.  We are your friends, family, and neighbors.
We are proud to offer:
• $18.61 per hour
Your major responsibilities as a bus driver will be to:
• Safely transport student passengers to sporting events and other school related events
• Perform pre/post trip vehicle inspections
• Attend and participate in safety meetings
• Clean bus as necessary to maintain a professional and positive appearance
 Minimum Requirements:
• CDL-B with P & S endorsements
• Good verbal communication skills
• At least 21 years old
• Valid driver’s license for at least 3 years
• Be subject to a background check, drug screen & DOT physical
• Subject to DOT drug testing.  DOT Regulation 49 CFR Part 40 does not authorize the use of Schedule 1 drugs, including marijuana for any reason
• Must be reliable and able to adhere to a schedule

Van Drivers - Fully Licensed Non-CDL STV (Student Transport Vehicle) Drivers

• $20.07/HR starting wage
• NO CDL NEEDED
 As a Van Driver, your major responsibilities will be to:
• Safely transport passengers
• Perform pre/post trip vehicle inspections
• Assist students in the loading and unloading process
• Attend and participate in safety meetings
• Clean van as necessary to maintain a professional and positive appearance
• 20 hours per week     
 Requirements of a Van Driver:
• Age at least 21 years old
• Satisfactory Driving Record (no suspensions etc.)
• Valid Connecticut driver's license for at least 3 years
• Connecticut V endorsment (will train)
• Good verbal communication skills
• Ability to pass a backround check, drug screen & DOT physical
