Qualifications:  
• Specialized training and/or demonstrated expertise in school-based applied behavior analysis with a focus on students with autism
• Experience conducting comprehensive formal and informal functional behavior assessments (FBA) and developing behavior improvement plans (BIP)
• Experience working with autism population
• Handle with Care or alternative training preferred
• Such alternatives to the above qualifications as the Board deems appropriate and acceptable under state law
Performance Responsibilities
• Evaluate and analyzes individual student's comprehensive behavior needs
• Develops comprehensive behavior protocols utilizing the best current practice methodologies in the field of ABA
• Trains service providers to implement individual behavior protocols in educational programs
• Collaborates with various professionals and non-professionals in the development, implementation and maintenance of the individual and/or group behavior support plans
• Creates, implements, and monitors accurate date collection formats for protocol analysis and modification purposes
• Communicates effectively and efficiently to families, professionals, and ancillary service providers in reference to principles of ABA and individual applications
• Perform such duties as may be assigned from time to time by the Director of Special Services
Certification Required
• Board Certified Behavior Analyst (BCBA)
