Salary Range:  $46,350.78 - $71,790.55 Depending on experience and level of education

Summary:
Develops and implements a curriculum program consistent with the district educational goals and objectives, in partnership with business, industry and district stakeholders.
 
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

• Prepares curriculum and provides instruction to improve student achievement in the Cosmetology program
• Demonstrates and differentiates instructional methods for the purpose of providing an effective program that addresses individual student learning needs
• Have thorough knowledge of Pima County JTED policies that pertain to instruction, students, student discipline, and Arizona State Board of Cosmetology rules and regulations
• Develops a variety of written materials (e.g. syllabus, unit and daily lesson plans, curricular maps, assessments, attendance records, anecdotal communications, etc.) for the purpose of documenting and communicating student progress
• Utilizes and implements classroom management techniques to maintain organization , student safety, and a productive learning environment
• Assesses student progress towards objectives, expectations, and/or goals for the purpose of planning instruction, providing feedback
• Participates as a member of an instructional team to promote learning activities for students consistent with the program and district objectives
• Responsible for attendance, instruction, supervision and grading of students, submits reports as requested (grades, attendance, behavior, etc.)
• Engages students in leadership development by serving as an advisor for CTSO (Career Technical Student Organization) , involving students in activities at the local , state, and national levels
• Evaluate effectiveness of learning strategies and outcomes of educational activities and makes necessary provisions to meet learning needs
• Communicates effectively with students, parents, and colleagues at the campus level to improve the overall quality of student outcomes and achievement of established program goals
• Coordinates workbased learning activities for students enrolled in the program
• Maintain the physical facility including equipment and supplies
• Assist in maintaining program certification by the State Board of Cosmetology as necessary
• Performs other related duties as assigned

Minimum Qualifications/Education and/or Experience:
• Must possess a Career & technical Education industrial technology certificate or be able to obtain a provisional CTE certificate
• High School diploma or equivalent
• Three years teaching experience to include career/technical/occupations/vocational education in a certified secondary program is preferred
• Thorough knowledge and application of secondary curriculum and instruction in career/technical/occupational/vocational education, vocational work and apprenticeship programs is preferred
• Must have and maintain licensure as an instructor from the State Board of Cosmetology
• Proof of MMR immunization required unless born prior to January 1, 1957
• Negative TB test (within the last year)
• Valid IVP Fingerprint Clearance Card or be able to obtain one
• Valid Arizona driver’s license

Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) Program Coordinator

Summary:
The Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) Coordinator is responsible for overseeing the Pima JTED CNA program across multiple campuses, ensuring compliance with Arizona State Board of Nursing (AZBN) regulations and federal guidelines. The Coordinator plays a key role in student enrollment, clinical site coordination, instructional support, compliance monitoring, and faculty collaboration. This position ensures a high-quality educational experience that prepares students for CNA certification and employment in healthcare.
 
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

• Supervise and evaluate Licensed Nurse Assistant (LNA) program in conjunction with Nursing Program Manager.
• Responsible for Program Administration and Compliance
  • Ensure the CNA program complies with Ariz. Admin. Code § R4-19-802 and Title 42, CFR Part 483, Subpart D.
  • Maintain program approval and renewal with AZBN, submitting required reports and documentation.
  • Monitor and enforce HIPAA, FERPA, OSHA, and Fair Labor Standards Act - Child Labor Rules within the program.
  • Ensure proper record-keeping of student training hours, certifications, attendance, and compliance documents.
  • Ensure instructors meet AZ State Board of Nursing qualifications and ensure there are sufficient instructors to provide for a clinical ratio not to exceed 10 students per instructor
• Student Enrollment and Records Management
  • Oversee student enrollment, ensuring students meet eligibility requirements and complete all necessary documentation.
  • Conduct student orientation and onboarding, including training on program expectations, policies, and regulatory compliance.
  • Register students with Headmaster (TMU system) within 14 days of starting nursing hours.
  • Track student progress, attendance, and required certifications (e.g., BLS, TB tests, flu shots).
  • Manage drug testing and fingerprinting in collaboration with an outside entity, ensuring compliance with Arizona requirements.
• Coordinate Clinical Sites
  • Secure clinical placements with approved healthcare facilities, ensuring all clinical agreements are up-to-date.
  • Verify that clinical sites are not under sanction via the Arizona State Board of Nursing.
  • Submit required student documentation to clinical facilities by December for rotations beginning in January.
  • Coordinate clinical rotations, ensuring students and faculty adhere to site-specific requirements.
  • Conduct site visits to ensure compliance with program standards and provide support during clinical rotations.
• Facilitate Instructional Support and Faculty Collaboration
  • Ensure consistent curriculum delivery across all campuses, following the standardized syllabus, lesson plans, and assessments.
  • Support instructors and students by using PowerSchool, Google Classroom, HealthStream, My Clinical Exchange, and TMU.
  • Conduct skills sign-offs and verify that students meet competency standards before clinical participation.
  • Assist in hiring qualified instructors, ensuring compliance with AZBN faculty qualifications.
• Oversees Assessment, Reporting, and Program Evaluation
  • Ensure students meet performance benchmarks for quarterly and final student evaluations.
  • Track and report student certification pass rates, attrition, and completion rates.
  • Oversee program renewal every two years, ensuring all documentation and policies are up-to-date.
• Liaison, Communication, Event Coordination
  • Communicate with registrar, counselors, and instructors regarding student enrollment and classroom access.
  • Notify families and students of required vaccinations, documentation deadlines, and testing schedules.
  • Organize and oversee job fairs, clinicals, and PCT placement coordination with facility partners.
  • Plan and coordinate the CNA Pinning Ceremony, ensuring a professional and celebratory event for students and their families.
  • Organize end-of-year job fairs and employer networking events to connect graduates with job opportunities.

The Board of Nursing will review credentials such as; resume, verify work experience, as well as determine whether an individual’s long- term care experience is appropriate to this position. Experience within an educational program is highly desired.
 
Minimum Qualifications/Education and/or Experience:
• Registered Nurse (RN) licensed in Arizona, is active and in good standing per A.R.S. Title 32, Chapter 15.
• Minimum of two years’ experience as an RN at least one year of which is in the provision of long-term care facility services.
• Experience as a CNA Program Coordinator or clinical instructor. Preferred
• Familiarity with TMU, My Clinical Exchange, PowerSchool, Google Classroom, and Google Workspace. Preferred
• Strong organizational and communication skills. Preferred
• Experience within an educational program. Preferred
• Current immunization record or proof of immunity
• Proof of MMR immunization required unless born prior to January 1, 1957
• Negative TB test (within the last year)

Position Summary:
The Skills Trainer is responsible for providing training and support for interns to ensure success during the work site rotations and/or a competitive job. The position is also responsible for assisting students in the classroom under the general direction of the Project SEARCH Instructor by providing supplementary instruction and guided clinical practice. Duties may vary depending upon individual and work site situations.
 
Duties/Responsibilities:

• Reinforce intern’s vocational, job-readiness, independent living, and personal/social skills
• Structure training at work experience sites consistent with each intern’s targeted vocational goals

• Identify and implement any necessary accommodations/modifications at work experience sites
 
• Collect data to document interns’ progress in work experience sites
• Assists with teaching the Project SEARCH curriculum as directed by the instructor
