Primary Purpose:
To provide instructional support in all areas of advanced academic, international, and innovative programs including gifted and talented programs, Pearland Advanced Programs (PAP), and Advanced Placement training and curriculum, and PSAT, SAT and ACT test preparations.
Qualifications:
Education/Certification:
Master’s Degree, preferred
Mid-Management Certificate or Principal Standard Certificate, preferred
Texas Teacher Evaluation and Support System (T-TESS), preferred
GT Supplemental Certification, or Gifted and Talented Endorsement, preferred
Special Knowledge/Skills:
Strong knowledge of "best practices" in curriculum, instruction, and assessment for advanced learners
Strong organizational, communication and interpersonal skills
Demonstrated leadership abilities
Knowledge of College Board programs
Strong technology skills
Ability to model effective classroom strategies on research-based practices for teachers of gifted learners
