TITLE: Elementary Teacher
DESCRIPTION: The elementary teacher works to develop a well planned instructional program for students that allows them to achieve at high levels.
RESPONSIBILITIES: The elementary teacher creates a safe environment conducive to learning, develops an appropriate program based on District curricular expectations, learner outcomes and assessment results that allows students to achieve at high levels, assesses the academic strengths, needs and progress of individual students on a regular basis, establishes clear objectives for all lessons, units and projects, has high expectations, believes all children can learn at high levels, maintains order in the classroom in a fair and just manner and follows Board of Education policy.
QUALIFICATIONS: Illinois teaching certificate, good physical health and clean background check.
SALARY: Placement on the Certified Salary Schedule.
