Description of Position: The Bus Driver is responsible for safely operating the school bus according to a set daily schedule. The Bus Driver must ensure that the school bus is in good operating condition at all times, pick up and drop off students as per the schedule, maintain order and security on the bus and obey all laws, regulations and rules of conduct. The Bus Driver must also deal with residents and members of the public in a courteous and respectful manner; this includes receiving complaints about schedules and quality of service. The Bus Driver must make note of and report on any such complaints and respond in a courteous and respectful manner.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities Safely drives a school bus on days when school is in session over designated routes in accordance with time schedules, loading and unloading students at designated locations. Transports students, teachers and others on school field or activity trips. Inspects assigned bus on a daily basis prior to transporting of passengers to ensure that bus is in good, clean and safe working order. Cleans and refuels bus as needed. Ensures that a communication device is in proper working order before each trip. Reports all mechanical deficiencies, traffic violations, or accidents, promptly. Arranges for and ensures completion of routine maintenance of bus (e.g., oil change); transporting the bus to and from maintenance and/or repair facilities. Maintains order and discipline in an effective and courteous manner among students being transported in accordance with district policies and procedures; reports any incidents involving student discipline. Observes and tracks route timing, such as total time en-route, time between stops, loading and unloading times or any other requested information for the purpose of establishing route efficiency, as requested. Maintains and submits records and reports as required. Follows procedures to ensure that no child is left alone on bus without adult supervision at any time, and that all children have departed bus at the end of all bus routes (morning, evening and during field trips or other special trips). Inventories bus emergency and first aid supplies and equipment; reports needs to the Director School Services. Prepares aides and children for bus drills and ensures bus evacuation drills are held as required. In case of accidents/emergencies, evacuates children according to written and practiced procedures, ensures that medical emergency procedures are followed; completes a written report as required. Attends and participates in trainings, and other continuing education, career and professional development opportunities. Perform other duties as assigned Maintain regular attendance Qualifications and Education Requirements High School diploma or GED Must be able to pass all required training required by the school district and the Mississippi Department of Education Must pass background record check Must be eighteen (18) years of age Must be able to lift a minimum of 25 lbs. Knowledge of all traffic laws, regulations, road signs and related information. Motor Vehicle Operator's (DMV) License. Current Commercial Driver's License (CDL), class B with Passenger and School Bus endorsement. Training available if not already obtained.  Preferred Skills Manual dexterity sufficient to operate the bus, conduct pre-trip inspections, and clean the bus. Visual and auditory acuity within professionally determined normal ranges, with correction if needed. Effective verbal and written communication skills. Ability to learn and comprehend information from procedures manuals and other materials. Ability to physically move through the bus, center and classrooms. Ability to maintain composure and perform responsibilities under pressure and in cases of accidents or other emergencies. Ability to establish and maintain cooperative working relationships with others contacted in the course of work.

Description of Position: Workers typically perform a variety of tasks, which may include any combination of the following: sod laying, mowing, trimming, planting, watering, fertilizing, digging, raking, sprinkler installation, and installation of mortarless segmental concrete masonry wall units
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES ·        Performs routine campus landscaping, weed control, and assists with moving of items within the district ·        Mowing, edging, weed trimming/control, pruning , snow and ice removal, and clean up debris ·        Assists Supervisor with maintaining irrigation systems ·        Assists Supervisor with evaluating playground equipment and repair as necessary ·        Litter control / pickup on campuses, parking lots, and playgrounds ·        Safe operation of all equipment such as lawn mowers, edgers, chain saws, sprayers, and blowers ·        Sharpens tools such as weed cutters, edging tools, blades ·        Cleans out drainage ditches, culverts and repairs erosion areas ·        Repairs fences, gates, walls, and walks ·        Plants grass, flowers, trees, and shrubs ·        Use appropriate PPE (personal protective equipment) such as safety glasses, ear plugs, gloves, etc when operating equipment and dispensing chemicals ·        Maintenance and care of equipment in regard to mechanical ability of employee ·        Perform other duties as assigned ·        Ability to work outdoors year-round Qualifications and Education Requirements ·        A satisfactory driving record to include no more that two (2) traffic violations in the past three (3) years ·        A satisfactory employment record ·        High School diploma or its equivalent ·        Ability to read and comprehend simple instructions, short correspondence and memos ·        Must be able to pass all required training required by the school district and the Mississippi Department of Education ·        Must pass police background record check ·        Must be eighteen (18) years of age ·        Must be able to frequently lift 70 pounds   Preferred Skills ·        Experience operating grounds keeping equipment such as lawn mowers, pole saws, sprayers, weed eaters, edgers, etc.

Description of Position:  Perform a variety of skilled work in the maintenance and repair of buildings and equipment which may include: glazing, welding, flooring, masonry, locksmith skills, plumbing, carpentry, electrical, sheet metal, and painting. ... Install and make emergency repairs to various kinds of fixtures and equipment.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities ·       Installs and repairs all types of industrial and commercial mechanical, electrical and plumbing systems ·       Performs regular preventive maintenance on equipment as assigned ·       Performs general maintenance work inside and outside such as ceiling, roof, electrical, plumbing, concrete, masonry, tile, ·       Assists grounds staff in moving items in the district ·       Use appropriate PPE (personal protective equipment) such as safety glasses, ear plugs, gloves, etc ·       Insure proper disposal of oils, fluids and materials to meet the requirements of the EPA ·       Maintains all safety and code requirements of the State, local and Board of Education guidelines ·       Program and operate various time clocks and lighting controllers. ·       Operate and perform work using aerial boom lifts and vertical man lifts ·       Perform routine carpentry in limited construction work; remodel and build on existing structures as required; design, manufacture and install counters, cabinets, shelves of wood , formica and/ or sheet metal. ·       Install floor and ceiling tiles, set forms and finished cement; install locks/dead bolts. ·       Maintain heating and air conditioning equipment; operate, monitor and adjust energy management system as needed; make minor adjustments and repairs to hot water systems and console heaters; wipe/flush joints; clear drains/sewers of obstructions. ·       Respond to emergencies quickly and calmly; assesses situation, make appropriate decision. ·       Design, fabricate and install sheet metal air conditioning and heating duct work. ·       Repair items such as: fences, athletic equipment, outdoor play equipment, and bicycle racks using hand and power tools, welding tanks and arc welders. ·       Apply paint, varnish, shellac, enamel, lacquer or other protective/decorative finishes various surfaces. ·       Scrape, sand fill/prepare surfaces for painting; mix/match paints. ·       Make repairs to motors, lighting circuits, conduit and duct systems and other types of electrical lighting, signal and power equipment. ·       Perform other duties as assigned ·       Ability to work outdoors year-round Qualifications and Education Requirements ·       High school diploma or equivalent ·       AA Degree in HVAC / Plumbing preferred or equivalent experience ·       A valid Mississippi drivers license ·       A satisfactory driving record to include no more than two (2) traffic violations in the past three (3) years ·       A satisfactory employment record ·       Must be able to pass a background check ·       Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out instructions furnished in written, and oral form. ·       Ability to deal with problems involving several concrete variables in standardized situations ·       Ability to communicate effectively with administrators, and school staff ·       Ability to maintain accurate records ·       Ability to handle emergency situations ·       Ability to use sound judgment ·       Ability to work in adverse environment conditions such as roof tops year round ·       Ability to work at heights in excess of 20 feet ·       Willing to advance skills and knowledge with additional training ·       Must be able to lift 70 pounds Preferred Skills ·       Experience in residential and or commercial electrical, mechanical, and plumbing disciplines ·       Computer skills with programs such as Excel and Word
