JOB GOAL: Assists Cafeteria Manager in the operation of the school cafeteria for students, faculty and staff.
 
PERFORMANCE RESPONSIBILITIES:
1. Assists manager in coordinating, supervising and instructing cafeteria staff in the most efficient and safe operation of equipment and preparation of meals.
2. Checks food shipments, signs receipts, and sees that they are stored properly.
3. Aid in menu preparation as assigned, cooking, cleaning, etc.
4. Performs specific tasks as assigned by manager on a regular or one-time basis such as cashiering, end of day procedures, checking in deliveries, ordering supplies/groceries and inventory.
5. Check supplies, equipment and cafeteria area to assure safety and protection from theft and vandalism.
6. Supervise sanitation of facilities, safety of food, kitchen staff and students; reports any problems and accidents in area to proper authorities.
7. Acts as manager when manager is absent.
8. Must agree to move to manager position if needed.
9. Performs duties in a safe manner to ensure the prevention of injury to self and others.
10. Performs other duties as assigned and required.

LENGTH OF CONTRACT:  185 days per School Year      Classified/Non-Exempt

SALARY: Commensurate with the salary schedule for 2024-2025 school year.

• Commitment to integration of technology into daily instruction
• Interpersonal skills in working with students, professional colleagues, administration, parents, and community

JOB DESCRIPTION: Teach classes in accordance with all policies and procedures as stated in Ocean Springs School Board Policy.

• Must consent to mandatory drug and alcohol testing per School Board Policy GCRAA/GDRAA
• Must be organized, personable, cooperative, and responsive to the needs of the school district
• Must consent to a Child Abuse Registry Check and a Criminal Background Record Check as per School Board Policy GBDA
• Good physical condition with ability to lift 50 pounds
