Overview:
LOA is seeking a talented and creative Coordinator of Communication and Marketing to lead the school’s public relations, strategic communication, marketing initiatives, and digital presence. This role plays a vital part in enhancing the school’s brand, supporting student engagement, and strengthening the connection between the school and its community.
The Coordinator will oversee all internal and external communications, manage digital platforms, develop marketing content, and collaborate with student groups and classes to promote authentic student voice in all aspects of communication and marketing efforts.
Qualifications:
Bachelor’s Degree Required, Master’s Degree Preferred
Minimum of 3–5 years of relevant experience in marketing, communications, or public relations (preferably in an educational or nonprofit setting).
Specific Responsibilities:
Public Relations & Strategic Communication:
Develop and execute a comprehensive communication and marketing strategy aligned with the school’s mission and vision.
Serve as the primary point of contact for media inquiries and community engagement opportunities.
Create press releases, newsletters, talking points, and official school communications.
Support crisis communication efforts as needed in collaboration with school leadership.
Digital Communication & Social Media Management:
Maintain and update the school’s official website, ensuring content accuracy, visual appeal, and alignment with brand standards.
Plan and manage the school’s social media presence across multiple platforms to engage families, students, and the broader community.
Develop and execute email marketing campaigns to enhance school communication and promote key events.
Content Creation & Graphic Design:
Design digital and print materials including flyers, newsletters, promotional items, event signage, and digital content that uphold a consistent school brand.
Produce multimedia content such as videos, slideshows, and promotional materials for various audiences.
Student Collaboration:
Partner with student groups and classes to involve students in communication and marketing initiatives, such as content creation, social media features, website contributions, and event marketing.
Mentor students interested in communications, graphic design, and media-related careers through project-based experiences.
Other Responsibilities:
Provide communication support for major school events, including open houses, graduations, performances, and athletic events.
Monitor analytics and engagement data to measure the effectiveness of marketing efforts and adjust strategies accordingly.
Collaborate with leadership to maintain brand consistency across all materials and messaging.
Stay current with marketing trends, educational communication best practices, and digital tools.

Salary/Terms: Full time position; Salary based on certification and experience
