REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS Must be fluent in Ukrainian
Associates Degree or 60+ college credit hours.
High degree of initiative and ability to adapt to new tasks.
Demonstrated judgment, communication and cooperation with staff, students and the public.
Ability to maintain discipline.
Proficient in using email as a means of communication with staff.
Must have the ability and motivation to form a positive working relationship with a variety of professional staff with diverse teaching styles.
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES Provide translation, support and/or clarification of lessons to English learners, particularly students at the beginning to intermediate level of English proficiency
Provide feedback to teachers regarding student difficulties and progress
Assist staff with parent communication and translations as needed
Work with small groups of students on classroom assignments under teacher supervision.
Collaborate with staff, including the building ELD teacher and district ELD Coordinator, to support school / district initiatives and meet students’ needs
Support the overall well being of newcomer EL students by translating during counselor check-in meetings and assisting with other areas as needed
Other duties as assigned
SCHEDULE
Part-time position, 15 hours per week
SALARY
In accordance with the current WBPA collective bargaining agreement– Classification 47 / Starting Salary: $16.71 per hour

Immediately after posting. This position is grant-funded through the remainder of the 2024-2025 school year. Continuation of the position in 2025-2026 is dependent upon renewed funding and is not guaranteed.
