Data & Systems Support Specialist - National Vendor/Hybrid

Primary Function: Assist in supporting, developing, and growing Oxford Virtual Academy’s data and systems.
 
Qualifications – Education & Experience:
1. Associate’s degree or higher in a technology-related field or equivalent experience.
2. Experience managing data across multiple online systems.
3. Experience using advanced Excel skills (i.e., Logic Functions, Conditional Formatting, Data Validation, VLOOKUP, Pivot tables, etc.) and ability to learn new skills quickly.
4. Experience troubleshooting and supporting end users with technical issues.
5. At ease with learning new technology skills, programs, and instructional platforms.
6. Able to work a flexible schedule during peak times of the year.
7. Able to efficiently manage multiple projects and tasks to meet deadlines.
8. Possess superior organization and communication skills with close attention to detail.
9. Capable of problem-solving and working well independently.
10.  Exhibit professionalism and a positive attitude when working with others.
11.  Experience working in schools and managing students' records (transcripts, grades, and the master schedule).
12.  Software coding experience, particularly with JavaScript & SQL, is a plus.

Essential Duties & Responsibilities:
1. Follow documented processes while continually monitoring their effectiveness through data analysis and stakeholder feedback, identifying opportunities to improve and automate workflows and systems, and implementing necessary updates or revisions as needed.
2. Collaborate with stakeholders to establish data quality standards and protocols for maintaining reliable records.
3. Verify data accuracy and completeness through cross-referencing and validation techniques.
4. Help organize and present data to aid data interpretation and communication, focusing on displaying the data so that it is visually appealing and easy to interpret.
5. Take the initiative to seek new projects or responsibilities that push you outside your comfort zone and facilitate learning.
6. Identify the competencies and knowledge areas you must develop to stay relevant in your field and proactively take action to strengthen them.
7. Assist in creating the National Vendor/Hybrid master schedule in the Student Information System (SIS) and manage integration between the SIS and vendor platforms.
8. Assist with creating course masters and the school-level course creation process for all courses within LMS, ensuring accurate and up-to-date course information.
9. Management of library system with books and materials for courses.
10. Coordinate with the appropriate departments and external institutions to obtain approvals to complete enrollment changes of status or the out-of-district transfer process.
11. Resolve student, teacher, counselor, and mentor issues with online platforms and course content.
12. Collaborate with the data team, educators, and other stakeholders to identify data needs and requirements.
13. Assist enrollment team during peak periods with a focus on accuracy.
14. Assist in administrative details and mass communications, requiring considerable knowledge of innovative and alternative pathway educational opportunities.
15. Manage special projects assigned by the supervisor.
16. Ensure compliance with data privacy regulations, such as the Family Educational Rights and Privacy Act (FERPA) or other applicable laws.
17. Maintain regular and predictable in-person attendance.
18. Support the OCS vision and mission.
19. Perform other duties as assigned.
 
Reports to: Oxford Virtual Academy Assistant Principal
 
Salary Range: $43,735 - $55,402; commensurate with education and experience.

3. Assist with planning and implementing interactive and engaging activities that are grade-level appropriate. 
4. Perform and participate in tasks such as inputting data, intervention training, assisting with intervention lesson preparation, and other essential duties pertinent to providing needed instruction to students.
5. Attend required meetings and trainings as directed by building administrator(s). 
6. Regularly communicate with parents and staff regarding student improvement. 
7. If necessary, collaborate with the problem-solving team regarding student participation and growth.
8. Assist teachers with assessments to help track student growth.
9. Be creative with the delivery of material to help engage students.
10. All other duties associated with the position of Instructional Paraprofessional.

4. Operate and care for equipment used in the classroom for instructional purposes.
5. Help students master equipment or instructional materials assigned by teachers.
6. Serve as a source of information and help to any substitute teacher assigned in the absence of the regular teacher.
7. Participate in job related in-service training programs.
