    OAISD Client Computing Systems Administrator

     

    Job Summary:

     

    The Client Computing Systems Administrator ensures that the organizations’ Apple (macOS, iOS) & Microsoft Windows systems are properly configured and maintained to allow a seamless client experience for both staff and students in the school districts we serve. The ideal candidate possesses excellent written and verbal communication skills, the ability to work independently as well as collaborate with both technical and nontechnical staff members to achieve common goals, and managing devices in an enterprise environment with various management systems.

     

    Responsibilities:

     

    ? Configure, deploy, support, and maintain Windows, macOS & iPadOS systems and applications.

     

    ? Effectively manage and maintain automated workflows, scripts, packages, etc within the Jamf Pro MDM for MacOS & iPadOS devices.

     

    ? Effectively manage and maintain Windows endpoints & Windows environment using GPO management, WSUS, Kace Systems Management Appliance, Microsoft 365, Azure, & EntraID)

     

    ? Apply best practices, standards, policies, and configurations to Windows & Apple systems in the enterprise environment.

     

    ? Provide support and recommendations to both technical and non-technical staff, ensuring Windows & Apple systems meet or exceed the needs of all clients.

     

    ? Lead and/or participate in projects, from planning and design to implementation and deployment.

     

    Qualifications:

     

    ? Bachelor's degree in a technology-related field with 1-2 years of experience or an equivalent combination of education, certifications, and experience.

     

    ? Strong customer service, teamwork, and communication skills are a requirement.

     

    ? Prior experience using MDM or managing an MDM platform.

     

    ? Prior experience using Microsoft or other tools to manage Windows endpoints.

     

    ? Experience developing, creating, testing, and maintaining custom scripts (with SQL, PowerShell, python, bash, etc).

     

    ? Able to effectively and efficiently troubleshoot software and hardware issues.

     

    ? Excellent written and verbal communication skills.

    ? Creative problem solving

     

    Preferred Skills:

     

    ? Experience in the education sector or with K-12 IT environments.

     

    ? Experience with Apple Classroom and other educational tools and technologies.

     

    ? Experience with automation and scripting, including REST APIs.

     

    ? Experience with one or more of the following: GPO management, WSUS, Kace Systems Management Appliance, Microsoft 365, Azure, & EntraID.

     

    ? Familiarity with Jamf Pro MDM

     

    ? Strong fundamental understanding of network technologies, Windows 10/11, macOS, iPadOS, and Linux.

     

    Schedule: Full-time, year-round.

     

    Compensation: $60,000 - $72,000

     

    Benefits: Benefit package available including medical, dental and vision insurance coverage with option to take cash in lieu of insurance
