BASIC FUNCTIONS AND RESPONSIBILITIES

QUALIFICATIONS AND REQUIREMENTS
 
1. NJ DOE substitute Teacher Credential and  (30) college credits   OR NJ DOE substitute Teacher Credential and a Bachelor’s degree from an accredited college or university (preferred).

6. Establishes and maintains standards of pupil behavior needed to provide and orderly and productive environment.
7. Selects and requisitions books, instructional materials, equipment, aids, and maintains required inventory records.
8. Develops instructional plans and organizes class time to provide a balanced program of instruction
9. Develops and maintains professional competence through participation in in-service education activities provided by the district and in self-selected professional growth activities.
10. Supervises out-of classroom activities for pupils during the assigned working day, as required.
11. Plans and coordinates the work of aides, teacher assistants, and other paraprofessionals.
12. Identifies pupil’s needs and cooperated with other professional staff members in assessing and helping pupils solve health, attitude, and learning problems.
13. Communicates with parents and pupil personnel staff members on the individual pupil’s progress and development.
14. Maintains basic attendance accounting and business service as required.
15.  Develops and participates in the sponsorship of student activities and faculty committees.
16. Acts as a resource person on an interdepartmental level to relate appropriate aspects of his/her subject area to other subject areas.
17. Works to establish and maintain open lines on communication with students and their parents concerning the academic and behavioral progress of all assigned students.

BASIC FUNCTIONS AND RESPONSIBILITIES
1. Provides direct aide to classroom teachers in maintaining a neat, orderly classroom, in specific programs such as health and physical education, in the preparation of a laboratory and audiovisual program, in reading to children, and in accompanying singing and dancing with music instruments.
2. Monitors classroom if teacher leaves for brief periods.
3. Arranges indoor games.
4. Corrects standardized and informal tests.
5. Helps students who were absent or who need additional attention with work assignments.
6. Works with individual children or small groups in developing simple understanding skills or appreciation.
7. May aid in drill work with word, phrase, and number flash cards.
8. Performs clerical duties including taking attendance, typing, copying, and keeping records of non-confidential data.
9. Collects money and regulates behavior of students in the lunch room.
10. Prepares bulletin boards.
11. Aids disabled children.
12. May assist in maintaining decorum in cafeteria, playground, study halls, gym, and locker rooms.
13. Monitors classrooms.
14. Directs children to buses.
15. Will be required to learn to utilize various types of electronic and/or manual recording and information systems used by the agency, office, or related units.

DESCRIPTION: The site-based tutoring coordinator manages the scheduling, grouping,and data collection for after-school tutoring. The coordinator also provides feedback, coaching and support to tutors on specific content or skills-based strategies to maximize student growth.
 
QUALIFICATIONS AND REQUIREMENTS
1. Bachelor’s Degree from an accredited College or University

3. A minimum of three (3) years of successful teaching experience
4. Knowledge of effective literacy and mathematics strategies, practices and assessments
5. Knowledge of New Jersey Student Learning Standards

3. Manages the safe and supervised dismissal of students from tutoring groups;
4. Verifies the tutoring hours worked by teachers at the site, and submits documentation for payroll;
5.  Keeps documentation of student attendance and progress monitoring on instructional outcomes;
6.  Ensures teachers record accurate and timely data from student tutor meetings
7. Coaches teachers on effective tutoring strategies.

BASIC FUNCTIONS AND RESPONSIBILITIES
 
1.Direct high school instrumental performers, such as marching band, orchestra, concert band, soloists, and ensembles.
2. Establish performance requirements, enforce academic requirements, and verify each student’s eligibility to participate in band.
3. Provide for band participation at extracurricular events, including concerts, football games, pep rallies, parades, and UIL activities.
4. Take all necessary and reasonable precautions to protect students, equipment, materials, and facilities.
5. Accompany and supervise students on/ off site and out-of-town trips.
6. Maintain current inventory of all fixed assets within department.
7. Oversee process of cleaning, repairing, and storing all band equipment.
8. Comply with federal and state laws, State Board of Education rules, UIL rules, and board policy in the band area.
9. Create an environment conducive to learning and appropriate for the physical, social, and emotional development of students.
10. Plan and use appropriate instructional and learning strategies, activities, materials, and equipment that reflect understanding of the learning styles and needs of students assigned.

QUALIFICATIONS AND REQUIREMENTS
 
New Jersey Standard Teacher’s Certificate or valid Essex County Substitute Teacher’s Certificate.
Advisors demonstrates knowledge of the particular activity and related experience as determined by the board. Ability to foster and sustain students’ interest in the activity and promote development.  Strong interpersonal and communication skills.  Coordinators are responsible for developing, planning, and coordinating special events including but not limited to student/faculty events, recreational activities and student leadership development opportunities. Advises coaches and/or advisors regarding program planning, use of facilities, program arrangements, services and available equipment. Must have current CPR/AED certification
 
BASIC FUNCTIONS AND RESPONSIBILITIES
 
1. Organizes and supervises a series of regularly- scheduled activities for students
2. Actively promotes the program(s) and seek student participation
3. Attend all activity meetings and in school events and supervise students on off-site field trips
4. Evaluates the programs annually and makes recommendations as necessary for improvement
5. Oversees the development production and distribution of products produced by students  ( ie Newspaper. Year book)

QUALIFICATIONS AND REQUIREMENTS
 
New Jersey Standard Teacher’s Certificate or valid Essex County Substitute Teacher’s Certificate. Knowledge of overall operation of instrumental music program. Knowledge of state and UIL policies governing band. Ability to implement policy and procedures. Strong communication, public relations, and interpersonal skills. Must have current CPR/AED certification.
 
BASIC FUNCTIONS AND RESPONSIBILITIES
 
1.Direct high school instrumental performers, such as marching band, orchestra, concert band, soloists, and ensembles.
2. Establish performance requirements, enforce academic requirements, and verify each student’s eligibility to participate in band.
3. Provide for band participation at extracurricular events, including concerts, football games, pep rallies, parades, and UIL activities.
4. Take all necessary and reasonable precautions to protect students, equipment, materials, and facilities.
5. Accompany and supervise students on/ off site and out-of-town trips.
6. Maintain current inventory of all fixed assets within department.
7. Oversee process of cleaning, repairing, and storing all band equipment.
8. Comply with federal and state laws, State Board of Education rules, UIL rules, and board policy in the band area.
9. Create an environment conducive to learning and appropriate for the physical, social, and emotional development of students.
10. Plan and use appropriate instructional and learning strategies, activities, materials, and equipment that reflect understanding of the learning styles and needs of students assigned.

QUALIFICATIONS AND REQUIREMENTS
 
Good knowledge of modern financial accounting and record keeping; familiarity with the laws, regulations, procedures and policies related to school district finances; ability to follow oral and written instructions; ability to keep financial records and prepare reports thereon; integrity; good judgment; physical condition commensurate with the duties of the position.
 
Either (a) graduation from a high school and three years of financial record keeping experience; or (b) two years of post-high school education in financial record keeping and one year of experience as described under (a); or (c) a Bachelor's degree from a recognized college or university in Business Administration; Public Administration, Accounting, Finance or related field; or (d) any satisfactory equivalent combination of the foregoing training and experience.
 
BASIC FUNCTIONS AND RESPONSIBILITIES
 
1. Implements and controls the adopted school budget
2. Receives district's funds from various levels of government and other sources, and deposits same in the bank designated by the Board
3. Signs all checks issued by the District School
4. Keeps a record of District receipts and disbursements
5. Reconciles bank statements
6. Submits reports of District school’s finances to Board
