  MSAD 6 is seeking a dynamic Long Term Substitute Grade 5 Teacher to join the instructional staff at Steep Falls Elem. School.  The assignment will begin on or around April 28, 2025, and be in effect until the teacher returns to the classroom.  The successful candidate will create a flexible instructional program and a class environment favorable to learning and personal growth; establish effective rapport with students assigned to the classroom; motivate pupils to develop attitudes and knowledge needed to ensure that effective learning occurs for each child; and respond to a wide range of inquiries from students' parents or guardians regarding instructional programs and student progress.

Applicants for this position must have degree(s) required in major area of study; Maine Department of Education certification; experience related to the instruction of students of similar age and in the subject area(s) to be assigned; demonstrated positive, professional relationships with students and colleagues; and evidence of a strong desire to work with school-age youth.
