Classroom Teacher Responsibilities/Qualifications:
Mountain Sunrise will follow applicable USBE standards. All teachers will have a bachelor level degree at an approved higher education institution and will hold an appropriate license with areas of concentration and endorsements as approved by the USBE (See R277-510, R277-520 and R277-524) such as an AEL or PEL
Demonstrate a commitment to the mission, pedagogy, and methods of Waldorf education
Integrate art, movement, and experiential learning while effectively teaching state standards
Good communication and collaboration with all stakeholders
Show effective classroom management
Be proficient in formative and summative assessments
Waldorf experience is highly recommended such as a certificate in Waldorf education or experience as a Waldorf teacher. If these are not present then the teacher should have a commitment and dedication to receive professional Waldorf teacher training to develop skills and capacities, which we will help provide. We also provide onsite Waldorf trained mentor teachers!
Regularly able to sit, stand, walk, talk, hear, operate a computer and other office equipment, reach with hands and arms, and occasionally lift up to 10 pounds

We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated Registered Behavior Technician (RBT) or Special Education Paraeducator to support our mission of providing individualized and inclusive education to students with special needs.
Responsibilities:
Collaborate with teachers and special education staff to implement individualized education plans (IEPs) and behavior intervention plans (BIPs).
Provide one-on-one or small group support to students with special needs, ensuring their academic and social-emotional success.
Assist in the development and implementation of classroom activities that align with Waldorf education principles.
Monitor and document student progress, behavior, and performance, maintaining accurate records and reporting to appropriate staff.
Utilize positive reinforcement and behavior management techniques to support student learning and development.
Foster a supportive and inclusive classroom environment that promotes respect, empathy, and cooperation among all students.
Participate in staff meetings, training sessions, and professional development opportunities.
Qualifications:
Certified Registered Behavior Technician (RBT) or relevant experience as a Special Education Paraeducator.
Experience working with children with special needs, preferably in an educational setting.
Understanding and appreciation of Waldorf education principles and methodologies.
Strong communication, collaboration, and organizational skills.
Patience, empathy, and a genuine passion for supporting the growth and development of students with special needs.
Ability to adapt and respond to the unique challenges and needs of each student.
Preferred Qualifications:
Experience with or knowledge of Waldorf education.
Additional certifications or training in special education or related fields.
Experience in implementing IEPs and BIPs.

Collaborating with teachers, parents, and students, delivering instruction as needed, supervising outdoor recess, taking direction from the lead teacher.
Classroom assistants are required to spend time indoors and outdoors in all weather as Waldorf schools encourage ample daily outdoor time.
