Position Summary:
Mother McAuley seeks an Athletic Director who (1) understands how to leverage the unique opportunities for growth and advancement of female athletics at the high school level;(2) fosters high standards of integrity, athletic excellence, and academic success; (3) has strong management and fiscal skills; (4) is able to develop excellent relationships with both internal and external constituents; (5) directs and hires coaches who are committed not only to winning but to the welfare of student athletes and to compliance with the rules; (6) has a vision for the athletic department; and (7) serves as the school liaison with athletic organizations, other educational institutions’ athletic directors and local community athletic programs. 
 
Essential Duties (other duties may be assigned):
• Provides visionary leadership and strategic planning for the athletics program.
• Maintains an athletics program that is committed to the school’s mission and strategic priorities that are compatible with the philosophy of the school and administrative directives.
• Administers the overall athletic budget. Maintains budget and provides budget reports for athletic programs following procedures and guidelines of the Finance Office and the Administration.
• Recruits and manages the coaching staff.
• Represents the school to the Illinois High School Association (IHSA), the Girls Catholic Athletic Conference(GCAC), and the Metro Catholic Aquatics Conference(MCAC); ensures compliance with all regulations, procedures, & time lines.
• Maintains membership in athletic related professional organizations.
• Recommends coaches to the Principal for hiring.
• Supervises and evaluates all coaching and athletic office staff (Assistant Athletic Director and Administrative Assistant for Athletics).
• Communicates athletic policies to coaches and athletes and ensures compliance.
• Communicates to coaches all administrative information necessary to organize and direct their specific sport.
• Ensures that all coaches and program volunteers have completed all mandatory background check requirements including VIRTUS training, CANTS, background check and Mandated Reporter.
• Communicate with parents in a timely manner and proactive fashion. 
• Collaborates and cooperates with the Building Manager with scheduling and maintenance of athletic facilities.  
• Oversees all aspects of home games and tournaments.
• Collaborates and cooperates with the school’s safety personnel and obtains additional security for events having large groups to ensure adequate crowd control.
• Serves as primary liaison and spokesperson for the school to the press and other media in matters related to athletics.
• Monitors and advises coaching staff on how to deal with the press and provides guidelines for press interviews which reflect good sportsmanship and professional attitudes.
• Provides orientations and in service for all coaches regarding school policies, especially those in the Coaching Handbook and School Safety Plan.
• Provide support and mentoring for head coaches on coaching tips/techniques, managing conflicts with students and/or parents, etc.
• Works with the school nurse to provide orientation and in service for all coaches concerning OSHA procedures for exposure to blood borne pathogens and the State of Illinois Mandatory Reporting Law.
• Schedules practices and games. 
• Approves transportation for teams to and from athletic events.
• Organizes athletic banquets with the assistance of coaches and athletes.
• Obtains regular academic progress reports for all athletes.
• Communicates athletic information to the Institutional Advancement office to promote athletic events.
• The Athletic Director reports directly to the Principal.. This position also serves as a member of the Principal’s Administrative Team.

• Must be knowledgeable in the NCAA and NAIA recruiting policies, regulations, and admission requirements.
• Must have previous related experience.
• Must be proficient in computer software programs such as MS Office, Google Suites and various SIS.
• Background experience in working with adolescents, experience with leading students and adults in a school setting.
• Desire to work with diverse groups of students, faculty and staff with sensitivity and intercultural knowledge.
• At least four years of relevant experience in an athletics-related role or coaching role, preferably varsity level, in an educational environment.
• Experience teaching and coaching different sports as well as different levels (freshmen, junior varsity, varsity).
• Previous school-related administrative or other leadership experience preferred.
• Ability to work nights and weekends.

Position Summary: Mother McAuley is seeking an experienced teacher and leader to serve as the Division Lead of Social Science & World Languages. This is a ten-month, full-time, salaried, exempt administrative position for the 2025-2026 school year. The major responsibilities are tied to the affairs of these two departments, developing programs and curricula, directing and evaluating teaching personnel and upholding the mission and philosophy of the school.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities (other duties may be assigned):
 
• Serves as a member of the School Leadership Council making recommendations for each department as well as for a school-wide curriculum.
• Supports and actively implements administrative policies and directives.
• Serves as an instructional leader in developing and implementing appropriate curriculum to meet the identified needs of each department, the division and the school.
• Assists in curriculum and assessment development, implementation, and revision.
• Assists teachers in the development of effective instructional techniques. 
• Evaluates the effectiveness of instructional methods and programs and recommends revisions and improvements as needed.  
• Designs and disseminates instructional strategies that enhance instruction. 
• Assists teachers in the improvement of instructional performance. 
• Assures division progress toward advancing the goals of the Strategic Plan and the objectives of the School Improvement Plan by an analysis of student achievement data as evidenced in classroom performance and national standardized test scores.
• Assesses academic progress of students relative to national/standardized testing results and implements curricular changes as a result of this data analysis.
• Plans and implements division meetings to conduct business, communicate, discuss, plan as well as provide in-service exchange of ideas, and instructional and assessment materials; discusses these with the Assistant Principal of Academics.
• Develops the division master schedule and assigns division personnel to teach courses.
• Implements the teacher supervision program for each member of the division to observe effectiveness of instructional methods, materials, equipment and personnel as a means of fostering collaboration in curriculum development.
• Supervises division personnel in the performance of their classroom and division duties and general duties as appropriate.
• Conducts annual Employee Performance Reviews and oversees the supervision program in collaboration with division members and the Assistant Principal of Academics by means of classroom drop-ins and observations.
• Seeks needed new division personnel, interviews applicants for teaching positions and makes recommendations to the Principal in collaboration with the Assistant Principal of Academics.
• Brings all new course proposals to the School Leadership Council for review and recommendation to the Curriculum Committee and to the Administration.
• Oversees the substitution plan for division members whose absences are extended.
• Maintains a positive division climate by communicating effectively, resolving conflicts and modeling the value of teamwork.
• Provides information to division members regarding professional development opportunities as well as enrichment activities for student enrichment.
• Prepares a list of financial, equipment, repair and other needs for the development of the division budget.  Manages the division budget and approves all division expenses.
• Performs division administrative and communication responsibilities in addition to fulfilling teaching assignments.
• Utilizes lead release time in the nine period schedule to perform division duties.
• Participates in after school activities when necessary (e.g., Open House, incoming freshman placement testing, etc.).

Position Summary: Under the supervision of the Director of Mission and Ministry, the Assistant Director of Ministry serves the Mother McAuley community through development and coordination of initiatives to support student faith formation. A member of the Mission and Ministry team, the Assistant Director of Ministry will work collaboratively with the Director of Mission and Ministry, the Assistant Director of Mission Integration, and the Theology Division to assist in the pastoral care and formation of students, including oversight of student retreats and service initiatives. The Assistant Director of Ministry will teach two courses in the Theology Division. 

The Assistant Director of Ministry must be a person of faith who models humble leadership, embraces possibility and innovation, delivers great outcomes, inspires joy and gratitude in others, and upholds the mission and philosophy of the school.  This is a full-time, school-year position.

• Collaborates with the Director of Mission and Ministry, the Assistant Director of Mission Integration, and the Theology Division.

• Organizes daily PA prayer.

• Develops and coordinates the student retreat program, including the First Year, Sophomore, and Junior retreats, as well as new retreat initiatives. 

• Assists in the selection and formation of student leaders and Peer Ministers to assist with retreats and other ministry experiences.

• Creates opportunities for non-Theology faculty and staff involvement in retreats and other ministry experiences.

• Designs and implements programming for student service experiences, including community engagement based on our Mercy mission.

• Develops and implements a school-wide framework for Theological reflection on service experiences.

• Coordinates school-sponsored service trips during the academic day.

• Coordinates Summer Service Immersion Trips, including pre-trip preparation, student formation, trip logistics and necessary risk management. 

• Maintains student service hour database via MobileServe.

• Maintains an updated listing of local service opportunities for students.

• Establishes and develops relationships with community partners.

• Collaborates on the planning and coordination of all-school liturgies and prayer services.

• Encourages and fosters assembly participation in all-school liturgies and prayer services. 

• Assists with school wide initiatives, including First Year Empower, Mercy Week, and Catholic Schools Week. 

• Promotes diversity and inclusion on campus and within all Ministry initiatives.

• Responds to crisis situations and provides pastoral care as needed.

• Attend Ministry programs, events, and Theology Division meetings.

• Teaches two classes in the Theology Division.

Qualifications:

• Preferred background in Catholic Identity and pastoral care. Experience working in an educational setting or working in a high school is preferred.

• Demonstrated skill in organization and collaboration.

• Experience  in using computer software programs such as Google Suite, Microsoft Office and various aspects of related computer software and technological products.

• Desire to work with diverse groups of people.  

• Minimum of three years of high school teaching and ministry experience. 

• Ability to work occasional nights and weekends.  

• Must have willingness to contribute to the overall mission of the school.
