Minnetonka Music Academy is hiring caring piano instructors with a passion for teaching. Instructors are directly hired as staff in Minnetonka Public Schools. Join our team and help guide our musical community. We are looking for instructors who love to interact with school age kids and also value the importance of each child’s musical development. After-school lessons are scheduled for the entire school year, Monday through Friday, at elementary school locations with starting times from 2:15pm to early evenings. 

Wages:
• Starting at $28.36/hour.

Duties & Responsibilities:
1. Be on time and prepared for each weekly in-person private lesson
2. Commit to follow MMA Instructor Handbook and MMA piano curriculum
3. Track student progress and be able to write narrative comments
4. Prepare students for recitals and other performances.
5. Maintain a high level of confidentiality and professionalism.

Requirements:
1. B.A or advanced degree in music education or performance
2. Evidence of successful teaching experience
3. Evidence of positive interpersonal skills, ability to relate well with young students.
4. Must be interested in learning and teaching all skill levels and ages.

Primary Job Function: 
The Lunch Bunch Supervisor is responsible for overseeing students during their lunch hour between morning and afternoon camps. This role involves picking up students from their morning camp, supervising them during lunch, and escorting them to their next camp with an emphasis on ensuring student safety and leading engaging activities.
 
Job Responsibilities: 
1. Picking up students from their summer camps and escorting them to the lunch bunch classroom. 
2. Supervise students during lunch to ensure a safe and orderly environment. 
3. Lead and organize fun and engaging activities for students who choose to participate. 
4. Monitor student behavior and address any issues promptly and appropriately. 
5. Escort students to their afternoon camp after lunch. 
6. Communicate effectively with students, parents, instructors, and other staff members. 
7. Maintain a high level of confidentiality and professionalism. 
 
Job Qualifications:
1. Minimum age of 18
2. Excellent communication, organizational, and customer service skills; ability to relate to both children and adults and work in a team setting.
3. Demonstrated ability to take initiative and to work with a minimal amount of supervision.
4. Evidence of ability to prioritize and handle multiple tasks.
5. Proven record of punctuality and responsibility.

2025-26 Grade 3 Elementary Anchor Choir Director

PURPOSE OF POSITION: 
Minnetonka Public Schools has multiple elementary choirs for grades 3, 4, 5 and 6.  One grade 3 choir on the East side of elementary buildings and one grade 3 choir on the West side of elementary buildings.  The choirs meets at an elementary building to be determined, one day per week.
 
ASSIGNMENT DETAILS:   
Dates:  2025-26 school year
Practices:  After school one day a week; Day, time and building location to be determined
  
REQUIREMENTS:
1.  Minnesota K-12 music license (vocal/classroom,) preferred.
2.  Demonstrated successful experience working with elementary age children in a choral setting. 
3.  Knowledge of children's voices, and in particular strategies for working with boys and girls of this age in a choral program.
4.  Evidence of sufficient piano skills to help singers learn their parts.
5.  Demonstrated success in developing a rapport with young students and their parents, including excellent communication and human relations skills. 
6.  Demonstrated knowledge of vocal pedagogy for the child voice.

$3,629, based on 2024-25 CBA, Schedule E
